Thanks VV I'll stumble on over and spend dat plastic!! just what I need more info to complete the mass confusion I'm already dealing with.. I tried Cervantes, but way to many scientific explanations. I never grown indoors in the past , always in the open but that can be chancy and besides, I like to garden but with that Swedish exception none grow in this kind of cold.

Jim Stafford..from the seventies,
I'm doing Hempy in 32x18x14d tubs, from clones and it's going ok, but I've been battling Gremlins in my timers..I had 1 that went schizophrenic and just stayed on..that grow was damn near kaput..Then I F***** up and swapped out a time that started growling at me..and what did I do... I used the one from my old CO2 dispenser..Ya know..the one that goes on..and off..every fifteen minutes..Oh boy were those weird...Since then I've replaced the timers for better ones. I think I'm going to (gasp) set the whole system up through (argh) computer. with fail safes and backups and alarms. Sooo I'm having to get back on track. What i like about this system is that you can have a perpetual grow because it's possible to double it up by square footage of the floorwith yeilds to 300 to500g per square meter...always fresh bud.:leaf:

Thanks for all this information. The book and dvds are quite informative.

To the morons that want all the info for free. What have you taught us for free? Nothing.
The guy with the cyber balls to say he's going to copy the dvd and post it to youtube is just jealous of this guys success.
People, a lot of unpaid work hours go into writing, photgraphing, and even traveling for research. Then there are the costs out of pocket to do these things. It's basic business. It takes capital to provide this information. At least donate money to the authors electricity bill if you want everything for free.
BETTER YET BUY HIS WORK. If he gets rich in the process...great!

I use to sing along with that song, one of the jukeboxes had it on, I think it was about every third play until they took it of. ' fact we thought it was kinda handy, take a trip and never leave the farm.' VV

As a member of the group that this book seems to serve, I feel that I have been misled by marketing.

For what it is, it is absolutely great, I enjoyed reading it and I am glad I bought it. As picture book/grow journal it is lovely. I love all of the cool quotes and little weed trivia all over the book.

What I assumed ( I know, I shouldn't assume) was that this book was a simple guide to grow weed from seed to harvest that could be done with less than $100 spent. The 8 oz claim is taken with a grain of salt, all things sold have overblown claims of what they can do. I didn't even expect to get it done in less than 10 weeks ( I know most strains take longer). I did expect a book that would show me what he did. This ain't it.

I know for most of you who have grown (and some of you who have never grown but think that it is so easy) might not deem it necessary, but a book that takes you completely from A to Z would be greatly appreciated.

For example,

1 show exactly how to make (wiring, hammering, screwing etc.) and hang the light array.

2a tell (in the book) exactly the wattage and Kelvin rating of bulbs used.

2b Since hid lights are better, have an optional chapter on how to wire one of those Home Depot lights and make a cool tube and exhaust in a wardrobe.

3 use a more common and less expensive seed for the grow

4 Show exactly how to make a rubbermaid, wardrobe or closet set up with emphasis on ventilation/odor control.

5 Specify that the perlite being used is not Miracle Grow, as it is the most common and easy to get perlite people might pick it up thinking that it has no nutes.

6. Provide a simple troubleshooting chart that shows pictures of signs of common problems (pests, nute burn /defficency, over/under watering etc.) and solutions to those problems.

7. Describe the curing process completely--with pictures.

I can't think of anything else, but basically I'm saying there is a market for a practical indoor/stealth soil grow book book that holds your hand from A-Z.

Just to be clear, I did buy the book and enjoyed it very much. I'm kind of just making a request for the next edition.

1) wiring is simply with or without a socket......... if you buy sockets you take a 2 plug wire just like the one coming out the back of your tv.... then you strip it and hook it up to the 2 screws on the bottom of the back end of the socket..... and if you want to do it without sockets you crack open the balast (between the bulb and the screw in part)and take the 2 plug cord and connect it to the red and black wire...
2)the two wattages on the box are actual and equivelent wattage the low one is actual wattage... thats what you go by.
kelvin is used to messure color temperature.... 2700 is more orangey (better for flower) and 6500k is more white with more blue light(better for veg)
2b home depot is a miserable option http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EFamily.asp the vapor tight comes in a 150 watt option for $20........ and the book is about cfls not HID..............
3 that is more personal preference than anything......
4 its not very hard there are hundreds of good ones on here... heres a really good one.... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=100698
5 read multiple sources........ always with everything..... we have so much knowledge at our fingertips but neglect it...
6 once again theres plenty of that on this site..... https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/38772-guide-diagnosing-plant-problems.html
7 heres one of the best guides out there https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/28072-harvest-time-tutorial.html

Thanks for the info, I realize that all the info is on the internet, my only point was if somebody put it in a book, people would by it.

I specified lights from home depot cuz some folks don't want to order stuff of the net if they don't have to. Also, the book doesn't have to just be a cfl book. While the book is not defficient for not having a hid chapter, nothing precludes him from adding one.

I asked for a more common/ less expensive seed cuz different strains have different characteristics/needs. A less expensive/ more common seed would allow the reader to use the exact strain and method of the author while still in keeping with the frugal theme of the book. It's not a preference with regards to seed, but rather a preference with regard to the reader being able to repclicate what the author does.

yes that is true however growing is not something meant to be right infront of you.... its a private issue if all are secrets were in a book wed all be in jail. yes i understand where your coming from but this site covers everything the book doesnt. the book i guess was more of a supplement to this site with the idea, "why type it twice"
