buds dont smell good

i am 30 days into flowering and the general aroma of my plants smells very delightful but if i smell my buds up close they stink with almost a musty type smell.. is this normal?

also if i give my branches a bend and smell my fingers immediately they smell very much like dank bud.

well like, walking into the house, it hits me.. but just up close i get a nasty smell.. its not as if i dont smell them or their odorless, there is an odor but its not of dank weed. im not too worried because they look great, crystals everywhere.. just did not know if this was part of the growth process...

its white widow and a ufo freebie from nirvana. under a 400hps.

That's normal. Don't worry about it. Sometimes they have this wet, planty, funky, musky, dank basement kind of scent to them. Give them a little shake and the smell should change completely.

You sure there's no mold? Some molds give off funky odors as well. I highly suggest hepa filtering your grow room. I have from day one and have never regretted it.

My Nirvana White Widow (avatar pic) has that kind of funky smell to it,.... little stale citrus, hint of skunk, very earthy. I like to rub a sugar leaf between my fingers,.... then it smells great!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to get it cut down/dried/into curing jars!!!!! :D

i know what you mean, its a dreadful journey if you ask me.. i cant stand the wait! and on top of that i been smokin regular and its killing me.

how far into flower are you?

okay, they look so good, i want to pick them like berrys and eat um =]

and your right! the little shake does the trick. thanks alot!
