buds breaking/popping open?

Im into the 2nd week of my first grow, and the buds are really forming nicely. I do have 1 little problem however. When I went in this morning to say hi, I grab onto the top of the plant to bring it a little closer and a dust like substance floated down like an old fan that has never been cleaned. I looked closer, and it appears as though some of the little bud pockets only on the top of the plant have broken open, and released what ever was inside. Is this normal, or is there something wrong? The rest of the plant is not experiencing this. Thanks in advance for your thoughts guys!

Perhaps not a hermie but just a str8 up male & you don't know the difference between sexes????? I'm just guessing here. But Pics would be very helpful.

sounds hermied, you plant is gonna seed itself. good thing tho if you keep it away from the rest and let it develop big fat seeds they will be mainly female, out of all 20 seeds from a hermied Jock Horror so far planted I had one male and 2 hermies and they showed their balls before the females grew pistills fully I have thousands of seeds now too.

Ive attached multiple pics of the plant and buds. Not sure if you can tell in my pics, but there is white(ish) powder landing on all the leaves below. Also, all the bud sites are doing it now, not just the top. The temp in the room is also around 56 degrees when the lights are off, and 59-60 when they are on. Is this too cold?? After this grow, ill be lining the walls with mylar (i think) for the next grow.

very nice male, make sure you grab some pollen.

Very very large structure, and a SHAME you just now asked, or learned how to sex your plant.

The nice part is you now know what to look for!

Hehe, yeah bro... those "buds" you say are forming so nicely are not buds at all. They are male pollen sacks. Trash it and start over from seed. And make sure you clean and sanitize your grow-room top to bottom or you'll end up pollinating all subsequent crops. Sorry dude... I know it sucks putting all that time and effort into growing a nice healthy plant only to find out it's a male. But shit, that plant you got is worth about as much as a high-priced hooker with a sewn up snatch.

well ive had it for 6 months now, and its the only one I have. Will it produce any buds at all????

Any tips on the next grow for getting a guaranteed female other than local clones from growers? I noticed there are seeds for sale that guaranty females. How legit is that shit?

HAHAHAHAH HAHA, lol.. that joke just made my morning. Muther fucker! It does suck, I thought for sure that bitch was gonna be a female too. *Sighh..* Guess im starting alllll over =( No free weed for me!

Your almost guaranteed a female with the feminised seeds once the conditions are right.
If not you could end up with a hermie

weelll. Sometimes you can cut the male parts off the hermie and grow some buds, but usually you'll just get females from the seeds anyway.

Sorry, but male plants don't produce any bud whatsoever. You really just gotta bite the bullet and start all over. Feminized seeds are an excellent way to guarantee female plants. The way they make those seeds is they start with a stable female specimen. While that plant is growing, they apply a hormone called gibberellic acid to various parts of the plant. This hormone forces the plant to grow male flowers wherever it was applied. The pollen produced by those male flowers is then used to pollinate the rest of the plant. Since the plant is genetically a female, all the seeds it creates via this "self-pollination" will be female. There is always the possibility of one of the offspring developing hermaphroditic flowers, but since most reputable seed breeders that offer feminized seeds use high-quality, stable female specimens to create them, occurences of these hermaphrodites should be few and far between.
