Buds are drying too fast. Help!

So I just had my fourth harvest and it seems no matter what I do my buds always dry fast and end up with a grassy hay type smell. Even though while growing and up until the drying process they have a strong dank smell it seems to disappear and become replaced by a crappy smell. I trim the plants wet a few branches at a time so I'm not overwhelmed. I then hang then in a grow tent where inside an air conditioned room where temp stays around 67 an I control the humidity starting at around 55-6o% and then up to 65 after 2 days. I didn't have a fan going because last harvest dried too fat as well. At around 3-4 days the buds are already crispy and very dry with only the largest still being wet. Some stems snap while larger ones are still bendy. I then jar up the buds with lid off if it's higher then 65% humidity in jar once it reaches 65 I out kid on and open once daily for 15-20 mins and I'm on day 7 of buds in jars an still has that not so great smell. I've read many tutorials on drying and curing but don't understand where I'm going wrong. This last batch was by far the best weed I've ever grown and had the best smell and I was really hoping I'd dry and cure this to come out good but have failed again it seems atleast it's really stony. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hang the plant whole, fan leaves and all, and trim once dry and ready for jars. This should have a profound effect on the smell.

Usually if you let the cure process go long enough and take effect that musky grass smell will go away and your good aromas will come back .....I like to start my cute before the branches are snapping in half .....I dry until the branches brake on the inside but don't break in half if that makes sense .....basically when I bend the branches and they stay bent over which is wetter than most people and then I go into brown grocery bags half full with the top of the bag folded tight ....and dump the buds out at least once a day on a table covered with paper to air out/dry after a few days of this then I go into my final curing jars .....it's one extra step but well worth it not to end up with over dried grassy smelling smoke .....however you will always have at least a little bit of the fresh cut smell even with a pungent smelling smoke .....but starting my cure a little wetter than most using the bag method before jars I mentioned above has always worked well for keeping the dank smell prominent and a nice cure ......but I've had grassy ass smelling stuff get a lot better after being cured for a while ......good luck that's just my method I've come up with over the years ...it takes a lil more work but why even grow to slack off in the most important phase IMO .......peace

check your humidity meter see if it's correct.

I trim tight as soon as I chop,leave hang in dark 40% no fan humidity in bud net 4 24 yrs then flip buds,let sit 24 yrs again then put em in zip locks for 12 hours in bag & 12 hours out of bag,then 18 hours in bag n 6 hours in rack,repeated till dry & put in fresh zip locks , open bags once a day,rotate bottom buds 2 top n repeats till dry,then seal dry buds 4 a week n super skunk comes out, b4 the end of the line I get hay 2 but its skunky when finished
