Budding?

So I believe my flower is budding, but I noticed the frost distribution was a bit varied. Some buds with have frosty buds and leaves, while others have leaves lacking of frost whatsoever. And some of the buds are tiny, I'm hoping someone can troubleshoot these little knicks..

They look good to me. The different light intensity on different parts of the plant will cause bud sites to develop at different rates.
Nothing to be worried about.

I just trimmed some of the fan leaves because they were blocking the calyxes from getting that sweet led. Is that fine? Would the damage inhibit the THC development? At this stage are the buds growing larger or have they stopped growing altogether? I've heard about during the last few weeks of budding, one is recommended to turn off the lights so the THC would slow their degeneration into CBD. Much help is needed.. Though I feel like a google search would suffice I like hearing from experienced growers!

I do not believe in trimming fan leaves until maybe the last week of flower if at all. They produce the energy for the plant and store reserve nutrients.
Your buds look like they have weeks to go. You didn't mention how far into flower you were.
Thc can degrade to cbn, not cbd. Cbd is a genetic trait. You are not at a point where you should worry about thc degrading though.
I would recommend doing some searches on when to harvest and defoliation. Good luck!

How many weeks do you think they have left? I removed 2 yellow crisp fan leaves and a few smaller ones, all were pretty beat.

that hydroton looks salty, have you considered a quick flush to rid of the extra salts and clean the roots, allowing better uptake?
there are products that help with getting rid of salt buildup in hydro too.

Flushing = watering for a couple of minutes in order to remove any salts in the roots/soil ? How often
and when you should do that? Soil needs to be flushed as well? Sorry to pop out like that but it would be nice for everyone to clear that out :)

Never flush with just water do it with at least half strength nutes i also think your over feeding, having fan leaves crisp up and your leaves look very dark and leathery on pictures which is a sign of overfeeding. Get yourself a magnifying glass look closely at the trichomes here is a good link to look at.
