Currently harvest outdoor plants and am coming across bud rot.

what is the best way to go about this? cut the rot out?

is the bud that isn't rot still viable?

is it safe to smoke?

i checked the plant and basically every cola is infected with spots of rot

i think im just going to trash the entire plant.

Yeah someone whose healthy prob won't kill them. But that could for sure kill a sick person.

I know a grower who passed recently and his family gave me his leftover buds and it smelled so terrible of mold. I chucked it. Not saying that is what killed him because he was sick to begin with, but I'm sure that didn't help.

ye i just cut up the plant and shoved it all into a garbage bag. ripping open the coals as i was taking it down, and saw shit tons of bud rot in basically all the main colas.

at least i don't have to trim anymore hehe

the other plants i put under a tarp when it rained, but that one i just left out. and i gotta say. when a seed seller says "mold resistance" that don't mean jack shit.

harvested the majority before the big rain in mid sept, and they're smelling like HEAVY diesel the kind that when you grind it up it makes your face on fire

total i expect like 3lb-4lb off the other 2 plants

organic: soil, peat, kelp meal, bone meal, blood meal, azomite, mushroom manure, milk, molasses, and water

16h full direct sunlight at peak of summer. 8-9 hours of direct sunlight + 2-3 hour of indirect sun now a days. anyways

how dangerous is bud rot fungus to the human body? im unsure.

like does the bud rot manifest inside the plant, or is it more of a topical fungus that works itself outside inwards?
Ive smoked budrot b4 but im not dead, don't recommend smoking a whole plant of it

Someone like me with an immune system disorder, it could be incredibly dangerous, maybe even lethal...you should know that before doing something like the above poster mentioned. ^
As long as you totally cut out and remove bud mass that is either infected or that WAS touching the infected bud mass, it should be totally safe for you or anyone to smoke! Please do not sell this to unaware people...because someone unsuspecting with a condition like mine could very well end up in the hospital as a result. Hope you're having a happy harvest! :)
*EDIT* Forgot to mention, a totally healthy person wouldn't likely have any immediately negative side affects...but repeated exposure is a different story. So, I wouldn't freak out if you smoked a bowl of it. Just try not to again :) Stay safe buddy.
