Bud Rot?!

What strain? I've grown one strain in my short time growing that has molded, nothing else has. Some strains are more susceptible then others. Genetics has a pretty big part in how easy a strain is too mold. Find out how high your humidity is, if it's in acceptable levels just grow a different strain. If you do want to grow the strain again top it a couple times or mainline it. Will spread out the yield more and have less big buds, less chance of mold and if something does mold it's a small section.

Another grower and I both had mold on Vision seeds northern lights, he was in Asia and I'm in Canada.

The temp is around 79 and the humidity usually around 40.

I will go all out OCD cleaning the tent! I have been intending to get another intake so will make that a priority.

Will the bud be ok during drying or is this shit still going to be lurking?

Cheers again guys :)
The buds away from the mold will probably have spores on them, it's up to you if you want to smoke em or not if you have lung or other health issues maybe not a good idea. I smoked mine not gonna lie and it was way worse then that :) I'd hate to tell someone else what to do when it comes to smoking mold.

Make sure your canopy air movement is good. 40% humidity should be fine, I bet it's just the strain.

From seed?

They're Nirvana Papaya, grown from seed.

I'll still smoke as they are. Just wondering if the mould is still an issue when drying?

Bud rot is generally a growing issue, I never had it on my buds when they were dried. Maybe dry a little quicker then you normally would

Shouldn't be an issue while drying because mold needs a moist environment and drying it is counterproductive to that.

But inside your cab might still be an issue if you have any living spores lurking around (which you probably do... not trying to scare you). Mold can spread everywhere in 12 hours... or it can go dormant for a day or two until the humidity rises and it will come back out of nowhere.

Clean well, my friend.

Well guys, everything was harvested and, other than the small amount which was molded, everything else was peachy. Hopefully they dry out now without any issues. Thanks for all the help!

I quickly dried off a little piece and gave it to my friend for quality control because he is a veteran smoker. I told him not to expect much because it's my first grow and it was dried quickly but he was blown away by it :)

So I can inform you all that Papaya is a good smoke.
