Bud rot and PM

Hey guys,

I had some problems with bud rot towards the end of my outdoor light dep grow last season. I'm only a few miles off the coast in Nor Cal with higher humidity so bud rot and powdery mildew is a huge concern. I recently picked up some new clones for the upcoming season and I'm already seeing some powdery mildew on some of them in my indoor nursery.

Should I throw away the plants/genetics with powdery mildew to help avoid my bud rot problem later on? Or is it irrelevant?

What would you suggest spraying to help prevent future bud mold, pm, mites etc? Azamax, Regalia, and Green Cleaner seem appealing, but I'm having a hard time making a decision.

I did a season in southern humboldt a couple years back. We used Green cleaner and it helped. Sadly, my experience with PM clones basically means that they have it through the life cycle (at least in my case). Look for strains that are good at fighting PM and make sure you have good airflow to avoid bud rot. It was super prevalent where I was at.

REGALIA works really well for PM and increased resistance to bud rot. I was having some minor pm issues in my GH and have been completely free of it since I started using it and I'm able to push things much longer in flower even with the high humidity we get in Hawaii. I spray maybe 2-3x, once at transition and again around 2 weeks and thats pretty much it. I like that it is not oil based and is completely organic and approved for cannabis use in most recreational states.

It is a preventative though, so you will need something to knock down an existing infection like neem oil or stylet oil. Just make sure you have good air movement in your Depo and hit em once a week with regalia until week 2-3 flower and you're good. You can do it much later in flower if needed. Worth the high price in my opinion.

Grandevo and Venerate made by the same company are also very good organic products for controlling mites and such although I've only used grandevo.

Simular conditions here 1/2 mile from the bay , I find pm resistance strains , actually breeding pm resistance strains ATM breeding with bodhi , relentless , inhouse , others , I pop hundreds of beans in winter to see what gets infected with pm on purpose

Just use an organic fungicide man. Really, that's all you need to do. The big problem comes during flower because you don't want to be having to spray fungicide all over your plants.

You're going to simply have to make a move to a controlled environment though. Otherwise, that's exactly what you'll be doing.
