Bud Porn-42 Days Flowering Nirvana Bubblelicious-First Grow

4 Days to Harvest, on 8/16 (light/dark) for past 4 days, RO water only for past 2-1/2 weeks.

I trimmed off all the dead fan leaves, and took some more pictures this morning. She is definitely ripening-up very nicely. I think the stress of the additional dark time is having a positive effect on trich development. I certainly can smell the difference in the grow box! Kind of a musty skunky aroma.

A week ago I pinched off a small unripened nug from one of the lower branches and let it dry. Last night before hitting the hay, I finally decided to give it a try - took a couple good tokes, and within minutes I was flyyiiing! The stuff hits you quickly and hard; I thought it would be a couchlock buzz, but no no- super potent head high. After about 2.5 hrs I started to come to my senses, and found myself in front of the idiot box (tv) with my mouth wide open and literally drooling to a Burger King commercial; I still can't remember making it to my living room! After the first couple hours, the high is super mellow and pleasant- very relaxing buzz coming down! 8/16 light cycle ?

Yep - 8 hrs lights on, 16 hrs lights off. Only for the last (10th) week of flowering. Heard it makes her squeeze out every last drop of THC. So far it hasn't hurt her !

Definitely Give her 48 hours darkness before chopping that also supposedly helps increase trich development.

Did a little more research on the dark period claims and read somewhere that the extended dark periods don't really make a difference on potency. It sounds like it's more an issue of aesthetics and bag appeal - the buds will tend to look frostier, especially if you are dealing with a white strain. In fact, it sounds like the method was developed specifically for white strains (but don't quote me on that). And guess what? Bublelicious is a white strain, and my lady looks like a beautiful specimen to test it out with

Today is day 70 flowering and I thought I'd be chopping my baby down. But I am hesitant to do so. I see lots of milky trichs, but no amber trichs, and I see many white pistils still hanging around. According to Nirvana, it takes 8-10 weeks for bubblelicious to flower. But I don't want to go by some general guideline - I want to chop when the time is right. Based on the few pics I took this morning, do you think I should chop, or wait? Thanks in advance for your feedback experienced 420ers!

Thanks masp! She is almost ready. Needs a few more days though - day 71 today. I really credit the airpots I am using for the healthy colas on her. My local hydro store is the only one who carries these pots in my state, and they totally swear by them. Cheap too - less than 10 bucks for a 3.2 gallon pot. I'll be posting some root porn after chopping. +rep

Well, this afternoon I checked my baby and there are quite a few amber colored trichs, mostly cloudy trichs, but a few amber ones. After 72 days flowering, it's time to sacrifice her . While I was trimming her, I was surprised at how much she stunk! Amazingly strong smell. As this was my first ever grow, I have no clue whether this was a good yield or not, but I am guessing it was a good yield - I am not going to have to buy med for some time now! This was one awesome experience - off my bucket list. Next comes DWC - another bubblelicious and a blackberry. Hope you all enjoyed the pics. Peace - out!

Yea man very nice! enjoy it! btw I feel way more likely to use or recommend CFLs after seeing what you accomplished here.

Thanks Kev and Masp! At some point I'd like to try HIDs and see if there is a difference. My guess is there will be some kind of a difference; likely beneficial on HIDs favor! But yea...if HIDs are not a good option, there is no reason to think that CFLs will not lead to highly satisfying results!!!

After drying for 7 days and curing for a week and a half, here are the final results. A total of 4.3 oz, or 122 grams. So is that a decent harvest for a single plant??

Frank that is a great harvest looks good! You planing on a new strain for your next?
