Bud Porn-42 Days Flowering Nirvana Bubblelicious-First Grow

Checked trichs today, and the buds are incredibly resinous and "crystally". But there are very few amber colored trichs compared to milky trichs - they ALL look cloudy!! Based on all my off-the-cuff online research, I should wait till at least 1/3 trichs go amber before chopping, but I am getting anxious here. Today (56 day flower) I noticed three of the colas are getting too heavy for the stem supporting them!! Need to figure out some way to support those colas.. I can't believe how heavy these colas can get!! After harvesting and drying, I am going to cure them buds in a Spanish Cedar lined cigar humidor, should make for an awesome tasting smoke!!

Will be posting harvest pics soon.

I wish you could smell it too simply... a weird combo of sweet cotton candy with some skunk mixed in - very pleasant. I can sort of tell how after curing, this weed might very well taste like bubblegum. But after toking on a fresh piked nug (see previously posted pic), there is no questioning the potency of this strain. It hits you with a euphoric high at first, then slowly calms you into a super comfy narcotic high.

Having some minor issues with colas weighing down some branches. But otherwise, nugs are getting noticeably frostier to the naked eye

Been closely checking trichs for past 4 days and there are barely any visible amber trichs. Mostly cloudy trichs and very few clear ones, which tells me Bubblelicious really needs 9 weeks of flowering. I am guessing in the next 5 to 6 days I'll be chopping her down , which saddens me , considering how close a relationship we've had over the past 3+ months. She almost did not make it during her last week of veg...forgot to water and clearly looked distressed!! But she came back almost immediately after a heavy dose of water. Enjoy the pics!

It's been 9 weeks flowering, and the trichs are coming along great - 98% cloudy, very few amber colored trichs. I read the excerpt below on the attitude site about White Widow:

"Try to turn the lights off altogether the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle- or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from re-growth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower! The buds have so much THC on them that it is hard to see them at all."

Has anyone tried this on their plants? I am guessing my plant will be ready to chop down in another 6 days so I am extending the dark period to 16 hrs - there's no way the plants can take complete darkness for 2 weeks!! Right?

yea 2 weeks sounds a little much. i def wouldnt try it with my only plant. but i have heard a lot of ppl saying that 72hrs of straight darkness makes a big difference. never tried it tho.
