Glad you liked them dude,i reckon that these are an Australian plant if ever i saw one lol.
Would probably grow huge in your sunshine outdoors:blsmoke:
P.S. Is it still a 1000 dollar per seed fine in Oz?

HOLY SHIT!!! i am gonna need a richer wife, lol. just kidding./ in this state i can legally grow two plants outside and be in possesion of 1oz. the cops have a infringement notice they give you(same as a speeding ticket) and you pay it within 30 days. pretty cool.
finding good seed is the hardest thing, i havent trried to mail order any yet. mate is going home to the uk and gonna send us some seeds/ he says the orange bud is killer, cant wait!!! hopefully around christmas/
Sounds good, glad the draconian seed laws have been lifted where you are.
There are many good seed shops in the uk now and buying seeds is as easy and simple as any other shopping and they sell them in the high street so im sure he will sort you out some decent stock.
You just have to hope they get through customs ok:blsmoke:

Day 42 of 12/12,42 days left to go at the very most for the mostly indica, hopefully only 28 days.
Mostly indica.

84 days flower for a mostly indica? even 10 weeks seems to be stretching it a little. You sure you got that right? I've never known a mostly indica strain to go past 9 weeks.

Should go at least 9 weeks which is 63 days,im hoping for 10 but because i have seeded the lower sections it may go longer.
I always leave them in the dark with dry soil for the last 3 days as well:blsmoke:

P.S. 42+28=70 lmfao
I guess your pretty wasted tonight lol.

No, I believe the confusion is yours. 42+42=84 (84 days flower)

42+28=70 (even 10 weeks).

So how long is the actual flowering period for this creation of yours?
This is my first time ever using hps so to be honest i dont know.
Also i said at the very most because i don't know due to only using 50 watt fluro tubes before this,im hoping it will be 10 weeks max including the 3 days of darkness.

So you don't believe that flowering is genetic? You believe flowering time is determined by light variances?

Yes i do believe in genetics but i also believe that low powered lights and being seeded extend the time it takes a plant to mature:blsmoke:

Strange... on the low powered lights theory... as flowering is genetic the plant should reach peak potency at a specified time regardless of the strength of light.

If it were the case that the power of the light was a factor in flowering time... plants flowered beneath a 1000w would finish quicker than a plant beneath a 400w.

As neither of these lights have anywhere near the strength of the sun, how can it be that strength of light is a factor in flowering time?

If you were to tell me that strength of light is a factor in flowering time I would know this cannot be true. The fact that flowering is genetic means that it cannot be speeded up. Genetically your plant will finish after a set period of time that is written into the code of the plant's genetics. lumens can have no effect. Don't give the plant enough and it will die. Give it a little, it takes the same time to flower, you just get less bud...

Honestly, this is a fact nat.

I think that LIGHT wattage does effect flowering time... and I also think that the plants that flower UNDER the sun take longer to flower.. because of the slow change from 18-6 to 12-12.... this may even contribute to the larger BUDs.. although I have always attributed this to the MASS LUMENS the sun puts out...

plants that get ADDITIONAL C02 do flower and mature faster from what I have seen...

BUT I do also suspect that planst under a 1000 watt bulb do mature slightly faster...

I have no data on this.. just experience... and I could veryveryverryberry well be wrong....

Well facts are there to be rewritten... and your experience far outweighs mine....

So this would mean that lumens have a direct effect on flowering time. Which on indoor grows would also indicate that the top part of a plant would finish quicker than the bottom... yet I've always thought it to be more the other way round. The top part of the bud seems to just explode in new bud growth all the time, where as the bottom part of the plant always seems more ready.

When I grow I have my main plants... then other plants that are just shoved into a corner getting less light. Despite there being less bud on the plants they always seem to be ready at the same... at least they look the same. Just skinnier, smaller etc.

When does an outdoor plant start to flower?

Not enough is known about this wonderful plant of ours... and all of us here have the opportunity to work together and find out the REAL facts. Dispell the myths. I've read lots and lots, and tried many different things, I absolutely love growing weed... for me it's not just about smoking the final product. I'm hooked on learning every aspect to cultivating this marvelous plant.

Which is why I will always question things... and question, and question, and question.

Less light produces less bud... an undeniable fact. So the question is, does this less bud with less light mature slower than a bigger bud that is getting more light? From my own limited experience, and logic... I would have to say no. Flowering is genetic.

Like i said i dunno really never used a hps before this time, theres a lot of sativa in my indica so i hope it will go 10 weeks as i like the seriously strong shit that takes a longer time, imo no short time weed can beat the long waited sativa hybrids.

Because i have seeded several lower stems i expect that these buds will never reach their full potential due to them concentrating on the seed,i have also found that seeding a plant slows it down a bit.

I think that there is a difference in maturity times with light levels but its probably only a difference of about a week at most either way,but i don't know this for sure and it would certainly depend on the strain your growing:blsmoke:

Hey natmoon, looking good. i have a question (jump in skunkushy! your advise always welcome) my plant 30+ days flowering has doubled in this time. started flowerng at 1foot, now already two foot and just starting to fill out? is this similar to your sativa natmoon? PS: its uner 400w HPS.

Yeah i have 1 400watt dual spectrum hps and 2 cool blue fluro tubes,i topped my sativa at 2 weeks and because i slice carefully at a slight angle across the top node leaving just a small bit of top it causes it to have many tops but from only one topping.

I kept them in small coffee cup sized pots until one week before flowering then pout them into a slightly larger pot and then at about 3 weeks into flowering i put them into a fairly large pot but i never tease out the roots so all though they can send out new roots for water and air the original root shape from the small coffee cup pot remains basically the same and this stops stretch.

My sativa is about 48" including the pot and will not grow hardly any more in height and will just get fatter now,i have to do these things because of my space restrictions, would be cool to let them get to 6 foot+ but i cant but this is a great way to keep sativas short and fat.

During flowering you can expect an average of 12" of growth in height from an indica and up to 24" from an sativa usually assuming that the plants aren't stretching from stress or lack of light,so sounds ok so far.

Sativas are much slower than indicas and can take up to 14 weeks so dont worry your sound fine,my sativas are so strong i could harvest them next week and get wasted on them but i prefer to wait another 40 days for the premium high not to mention you don't need to smoke as much of it to get high:blsmoke:

sweet, judging by the growth of bud i would have guessed this one is gonna take longer than 8 weeks, 12-14 sounds closer to the mark!! supriced me how slow it has been to start off but thats all the fun of it eh? lights less than 12inches so yeah there healthy etc..
sweet, bet yours is starting to smelling sweet now, great stuff
peace
