Bud into brown paper bags right after harvest?

Hey I just chopped down some bud from my first grpw and a few of the nugs have no stem for me to hang them from.

Is it ok to just throw them right into brown paper bags? I put them in there already but i left the top open because the thing I'm afraid of is mold.

If you guys think it's straight I was planning on keepin the nugs in the bags for a couple of days (or however long it will take to dry em out) then put them into mason jars.

Good idea?

Dont put it into a container untill the outside of the bud feels crispy. When you put it in a bag or a jar it will draw the moisture from inside of the bud and redistribute it to the outer dry surface of the bud. If you put it in the container right off the bat all your doing is risking getting your buds moldy

Ok good shit, but what do you suggest I do with these nugs that dont have a stem to tie a string and hang them from?

I tried my best to cut the nug as close to the stem as possible but there still ended up being nothing to hang from.

Also another little question, when your bud is hang drying and you bend the stem to see if it snaps or not,
if a portion snaps but another spot you try it bends does that mean the bud is still too wet?
I'm guessing yes but I'm just curious like I said this is my first harvest so I don't wanna fuck anything up after making it this far.

Paper bag should work fine as long as you put some holes in the bag or have a small fan blowing over the open top to help dry.

Or put them on some newspaper, in a small cardboard box with holes cut out for air to flow through and dry your bud.

Little damp for jars yet, I would wait a few more days at least.

Lime73 has the right idea if indeed you want to put them straight into bags. Another idea is taking a small little paperclip and shape it like a little hook on the end and gently push the hook end through the bud so you can hang it. Just an idea so you don't have to do anything special or worry about mold.
Good Luck with your drying.

If u want to hang them put a small hole through any available stem(like a stump) with a sewing pin, worked for me...

You can also dry buds like that on a screen. If you use a sifter screen to sift your trim for trichomes, you can use it for drying as well. Just make sure the underneath of the screen is in the air and has air flow underneath it.
