Bud Density

Do buds go back to being dense after harvest? Is it normal for them to feel 'pillow' like after being chopped?

i havent harvested my first grow yet but this is of my concern as well.

If buds are loose and "whispy" at harvest they will be the same but smaller after dried... Airy buds are usually caused by either bad genetics or poor lighting.

For curiosity, how long were your internodes? (the stem length in between the nodes, where the leafs/shoots branch out from)

some of my lower buds... when i harvested seemed like they would be airy.. but when they dried they became hard and dense.. it depends on the strain.. lighting.. etc... alot of factors.
