Aeroponic rigging made from 13mm polytube in a small bucket approx. 20L
Materials
- submersible pump 675 L/h
-13mm (1/2inch) rigging & polytubing
T sections and cross sections, corners, end piece.
- misters
- hole punch
- ratchet clips
so here we have all the joining bits plus ratchet clips, mister and a whole punch for making holes in the polytubing that the misters can squeeze into
the misters have a screw base on them and this carves its own grooves into the polytube as you twist it into the hole.
however this is abit of a pain in the ass and after much tedious labor i figured out the hole punch is also a lever for the misters, and makes screwing them in much easier.

So first thing to do is set up the polytubing
This is easier if you have the bucket and pump nearby so you can adjust your rigging to fit. The filter is chunky as 3/4 of it is hollow and has a plastic spongue very similiar to a spleen in it. this will just stop material from entering the pump.
now that everything looks nice and neat, the misters and ratchet clamps go on.
*ratchet clamps, for anyone who dosnt know, are for securing the tubing around the joining sections so it isn't forced off from the high pressure generated by the pymp
starting to look like a peice of equipment now!
Hmm here are the misters in action
coverage seems OK, not fantastic, but as you can see from the inside wall of the bucket, there is coverage 360 degrees, but at some points it is probably bellow desired.
Now that we got this little puppy going, we just cut a hole in the lid of the bucket and chuk in some sort of support bucket for the plant, fill that up with your medium and presto!
As you can see, this is begging for atleast another 3 holes. Theres a little seedling in there that i just transfered from soil. will keep progress on it updated.
