bubbles not popping?

Muffin is the initial big one. I run my vac about 75% of the time. What's your oil temp at? Just let it be. Patience. It should eventually flatten out.
it was around 110 for a long time. In that last pic in my imgur album in my previous post, it would not do anything in the chamber - so i turned the temp up smoe and now its liquidish with bubbles again. But keeps turning hard and doesnt want to go liquidy and release juice - I still want to know if i can just vacuum and cut off the hold the pressure, or if the pump needs to be running

I think one issue im having is the actual exact method of vacuuming and how/when.

Now that i understand that some allow air in and keeps re-vacing the muffin - but until when? when do you stop? And how do you know its ready for the next stage?

Alright, i'm making a new batch, just extracted a half oz and its outside in a water bath right now, i will scrape it and when i vac it i will go more/longer of pump/release - what is a good indicator that its ready to be spread thin (is this a good idea?) and let auto-vac?

The guage is a glycerin filled one that came with the chamber which i purchased off of ebay

here is a picture of the lid of the chamber, the vessel is a 1.5 gallon stock pot - the hose goes to a 1/4 inch barb on the pump - i think this is what you meant by how its connected?

Consider getting a gauge that you can calibrate, like the JB-M2-250.

What altitude are you at?

Your hose connections are not vacuum quality. consider switching to a refrigeration hose with JIC fittings or at least using a clamp.

Try spraying acetone on the suspected leaks and watch for a rise in gauge pressure.

Ya i def want a new guage and better connections.

I turned the pump off and locked in the vac overnight, still 27.5 same as when i went to bed - doesn't that mean no leaks?

I think i fucked it up by having the heat too high to begin with. Need to try again.

Getting a new pump today, i hope that resolves the issues and i see 29.5

new pump still 27.5, so must just be a fucked guage, fuck it. Can't save the last batch, must make new and attempt to keep temps lower so i dont kill it.

Temp is really hard to control steady in the electric skillet im finding

Use a heating pad or seedling heat mat. Set it on some foam if the surface it's on is cold so the heat will not just heat the countertop or floor.

That would suggest no leaks between the valve and the chamber, but no clue what it means on connections beyond the valve.

Here is an altitude adjustment chart.

Ya according to that chart i should have no problem somewhere between 28.9 and 29.4. I hooked up another cheap guage i had lying around before the lid with some plumbing fittings and that guage showed 28 instead of 27.5 that the other guage drilled into the lid shows. I'm getting pretty frustrated and not really sure what a good guage is or where to buy one in Canada..and if i can find out, how i can incorporate or fit it into my lid, or before the lid.

Well i bought a new guage at princess auto cuz its all i could find locally, and i rigged up a little thing out of plumbing fittings so i could attach it and it appears as tho my other 2 guages are just pieces of shit maybe?

I'm at about 8,000 feet and I am having a similar problem. I purge at about 130-140 deg and the gauge reads -20 ish. (2 stage 6cfm pump) The wax will turn super "oily" but there won't be many bubbles. When I smoke it though, it bubbles up quite a bit...
