Bubbler buds.

Anyone care to do a tutorial on how to firm up the buds in a bubbler, I've got hundreds of them but they are light and airy, like to know how to make them weighty.

a high powered HPS light will make the buds more tight and compact. Indica's tend to have thicker buds. Also, like caligrown said, CO2 will make the buds almost double in size, if you inject the right amount.

I have a 400W HPS in a 2'X3"X6' grow area, they are getting plenty of light. The plant variety is Thai.. I use the sugar and yeast in water co2 solution and shake it up 3-4 times a day. The white widow seemed to have tighter buds but these Thai are less compact with the same grow conditions.

400w should be ok. That's what I have and my nugs are rock hard. But as someone else mentioned, it could judt be the strain of sativa you are using.

The trichomes are just starting to turn amber. Should I wait untill they are mostly all amber?

wait, so CFL's with bubble ponics would produce airy buds?

was wondering how much CO2 should go into a area 4feet tall by 2 feet wide by 2 feet long?
housing probably 12-16 lowryders at a time

heres a couple a pics: Appears to be enough light, maybe the strain or the wrong CO2, but they still get you plenty stoned. I figure I should get about 4-6 OZs from this plant.

Well, I used to follow the trichs to harvest- however I think after a few grows you should know when the plants are done by looking at them. I would say for this grow, ya wait till the trichs are 50-60% amber and chop-chop.

Are the fan leaves all yellow or fallen off? And the bud leaves how are they looking?

Yeah the fan leaves are all yellow or fallen off and the bud leaves are turning yellow and curling under, I know the time is close, just waiting for a little more amber. Thanks for your input.

400 watt HPS is perfect for flowering. If you want a very stoney type weed, yes, you should wait until 98% of the trichomes are amber. Also, the longer you wait, the more firm your buds should be.

I tried a couple, but they were just bullshit, at least they didn't work for me. I've just flushed and am now running plain RO water @ 5.5-5.8 PH. I'd say there is about 2 wks to finish.
