If the roots are already sitting in water, why do you need a water pump? Isn't DWC good enough?

Don't need the dripping system mate. Just submerge the net pot in the water/nutrients like an inch or something and the roots will grow down into the water. When you see a root or roots dangling through bottom of net pot lower the water to so root is just dangling in water. Then just keep checking your ph, EC and water level. Simple as that! No pump required. Good luck!

Padz: they've all got good points but you're going to want lots of bubbles. Maybe two big stones in ten gallons fed by a thirty or more gallon aquarium air pump, enough to give you a fine screen of air bubbles to the roots. The rising air will circulate the water but there is a school of thought that a small fountain pump, even if it's just laying on its side will still circulate it better. With both of them going it's pretty hard to go wrong. HSA
