Bubbleponics General Question

Would appreciate any advice on this question,

What is the quickest amount of time I could harvest a plant with the Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics Kit(http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=2) with only one plant in the system?

Can you recommend me a strain that would grow very quick in that system on it's own, and is suitable for a closet?

If you only want to grow one plant Id suggest getting a mega-farm or aqua-farm.

Then just buying the lighting differently, say 250w mh/hps light. Maybe even pick up 1-2 of the dual spectrum II vegetative lights (dont forget the sockets/reflectors!). (i bought the bubble dual spectrum system and wish I did what Im discribing.)

Then just pick up a nice temp/ph/ec(PPM) meter that has the probes that you leave in the water. (just glancing at a monitor is MUCH easier than taking PH/EC readings out of a shot glass all day)

Dont forget neem oil, h2o2, mylar, PH up/down, and grab some basic 2 part liquid hydro nutrients.

Ohh and as for strains, G13 Labs Pineapple Express (can find it on attitude seed banks).

Much appreciated sirs, I'll take a look at building my own. The reason I'm going for quickness is because I'm contemplating growing in a dorm room and I'd need to harvest within 2 months time, so my plants don't die when I go home for say Christmas vacation.

I tried and tried to grow in my dorm. Its near to impossible.

Was it because of the smell? I know deep down there are two many factors for it not working out,
- Smell
- Having to hope anytime a friend comes in your room that they don't notice equipment or open up closet by accident. (that's almost impossible.)
- Room inspections that occur once a year

I'm probably just going to wait another year until I have an apartment, it just isn't practical now that I'm thinking about it.

Well the two months would just be the flowering time... Thats not including the seedling and vegetative growth stage... Ive heard of some varieties that you don't veg. You just put them straight on 12/12 time but apparently the bud lacks as a result...

dude..dont grow dope in your dorm room..youll get robbed or thrown out of school or arrested or all of it...unless you make it topsecretdoublesecretprobation man, but shit, thats tough in a tiny dorm room in a dorm with a shit ton of people always around...if you go for it anyway, dont blow money on premade hydro systems...if its only one plant, get a bucket, an air pump, an air stone, a net pot lid, and some medium...like 20 bucks...take some of the other $170 bucks and get some autoflowering seeds like pandora from paradise and youll have bud in 60 days....if its not an autoflowering strain it will take about 60 days just to flower, nevermind veg....use the rest of that money to cover the smell and any lawyer fees

Lmao ^^ great points above. Losing your degree because you wanted to try and grow an oz or two is dumb. Id try an outdoor plant if i were you. Dig a hole, fill it with desired soil and plant a pre germd seed in a rockwool cube. Just have to wait till next outdoor plant is. Or........ Since im a student as well and have thought this over many times... Get a fridge and make it a stealth grow unit. Keep it under a desk or in your closet. A half sized fridge has room to grow and bloom a short indica. Its also mobile if you took it back home. Just lock the fridge with a padlock or bike lock. The stealth pc hydro unit is premade and expensive but could work for you.

And remember.. it doesn't have to be even an ounce. I grew 2 grams on an indica through 12/12 from seed. My sativa dominant is looking more like a quarter.. and she's been in over 60 days.

If you don't veg you need to SOG. End of story. Unless you think over two months is worth a couple grams..

So if i start a 12/12 cycle on my 20 day old plants.. Not even knowing which is male or female... They will begin to grow buds/balls? I thought you had to wait till the plant showed sex?

No you can 12/12 from seed, forcing them to only veg the smallest amount of time possible. But if you've vegged over two weeks already then they will start to flower. Producing very small amounts of course with low veg time.

Week five or six is the earliest to sex plants in veg right? Or is that a little high

Just whenever the pistils or balls arrive lol does seem to be around 6 weeks for the variety i grow...

Which variety is that jimmy? When the balls are beginning to form... Are they at risk of impregging the girls? Or do the balls need to fully develop before? Basically want to know if i have a few days to figure out its def male or if they need to be removed asap.

It's all on personal preference. If you want more bud, veg longer. If you're limited by space, veg accordingly. If you're doing a test grow, then I recommend 12/12. I got ALL of my testing done in 3 months, and now I'm just finishing out my sativa.

So I could veg my 6 plants out for 4 months, and wont know which is male/female until a few weeks into flowering?

That's what I thought but last time I started plants from seed in veg they all showed their sex while they were still on 18 hours. They wont start flowering but either the pistils or the balls appear. That particular strain was called Calizahr from Chimera seeds... I have 2 varieties going at the moment which are New York City Diesel F2's and NYCD crossed with DJ Short's Mountain Jam.
