Well, if anyone has read any of my posts, you know I've had some trouble...3 out of 5 sprouts are still alive...they are recovering from a nute burn, or wind burn, or PH problem...or whatever....or I should say, they don't seem to be getting worse. After about the 4th reservoir change and dicking around with my tap water, I bought some distilled, until I can get my RO up, and it seems to be working. My PPM are at 40 right now, PH'd to 6, my roots are about 1/4 " out of the net pots, they are white, but scrawny, when do I start up the nutes again? should I wait? My advice to anyone starting a Bubble grow....don't trust your freaking tap water, my sprouts looked great starting out, if i had used distilled from the get go, I dont think I would have had as many problems as I have...:wall::evil:

Since your sprouts are recovering, I'd allow them a few days(4 to 5) before adding any nutes. When you do, start off a 1/8 strength and slowly increase over a course of a couple of weeks.

ie in about 4 days mix 1/8 strength to a gallon of H20 and then add to your rez. After a couple of days and the plants look well, then add another 1/8 to a gallon of H20 and continue until your at full strength.

Always mix the nutes in H20 and then add to your rez. Never add the nutes directly to the rez H20.

This is the critical time in growing, so take your time and let the plants tell you how you're doing.

Good advice above. Many supermarkets have machines that dispense ro water for much less than distilled, you can try that. BTW, henceforth bubbleheads are to be known as pumpheads, and here bubbleponics means TRULY growing with bubbles like DWC growers have done for years and not some gimmick drip system.
