Bubble Cloner solution questions

So i built a Bubble cloner out of two clear shoebox totes. One is coveres in aluminum tape to make it light proof and the other is used as a humidity dome on top of the other box. Only one lid was used to drill holes in to put my plugs into. I then bought a two output air pump and two 10 inch air stones to glue to the bottom of the showbox. i also bought an aquarium heater that is submurged in the water to keep it at around 76 degrees i think was the setting. So i have 12 soil plugs all with healthy cuttings in them. heres my question. Should the plugs be touching the bubbling water? Should it be bubbling all the time? What type of nutes should i have in the water? Right now im using this stuff called "root 66" to soak my plugs in and i also put a little in the tank under the clones. and my clonex gel on my cuttings. on day seven and no real sign of roots comming out of my plugs and im looking to go into flowering soon so id like to get this cloning thing squared away. I have some clones already rooting in rockwool cubes and some in straight coco as well im just interested in making this cloner work. if it does work i will be into it about 25$! Pretty cheap for a 12 site! Thanks for any help!

so many questions, so little time. Yes bubble all the time, do you want to drown them??? Clonex is good, ample bubbles (get a BIGGER airpump like at least 1000litres hour not 200 too little for 10 inch airstones) have water level at an inch or two beneath the pot the bubbles from your NEW airpump will hit the medium then. the roots will come out JUST BE PATIENT MAN, god

You can't use a bubbler with soil plugs. It's designed to use cuttings with the stems inserted into cloner

Over at Wal-Mart they have camping/exercise pads there made of neoprene. You can use that as your plug.

the air pump i have is a 2 OUTPUT not 200 lph the pump puts out 1250cc a min. the plugs im using are rapid rooter by general hydro. my friend uses them im just curious if they would work. my cuttings are healthy and all upright. if i do end up going straight to the neoprene sleeves do i still want the cutting an inch from the water? and what should i be using in the water? Im using Heavy 16 for my nute line. any help is appreciated sorry for the dumb questions i figured the newbie forum was a good place for this.
