ballin posted this not too long ago so it's appreciated. pls don't mess w ballin' cuz of this, he has good contributions from my point of view. / So about the Video... this is glossy video snip-it, w sountrack. does it make the story anymore real? do any other ppl from Cali back this guys claims? may be true but I'm just skeptical as this cat on camera is smarmy.

I think ballin has great contributions to Rollitup also. No doubt.
Just jarred up a few oz's of my 1st Pre-98 Bubba Kush harvest few hours ago.

How is the pre98 bubba? I grbbed some beans a few weeks back and in another few weeks Ill be crackin em. I can expect good things?

I have many many Bubba hybrids.
Figured I better back up and do real thing. Very smart.
It goes back to a lot of what hic has been preaching.
I've been backing up and doing more basic strains, so I have better knowledge working with the 1000's of hybrids on today's market.

I know I'm just starting out with the breeding thing but....um, I don't believe anyone who claims they started a tight ass strain off an accident or steeling it from a gov. compound. As much trouble that a breeder goes thru to create a strain and these guys just have herm accidents that go crazy and are the greatest buds ever? I call bullshit! so guy X is a genius and spends years of error and documenting and studying to get a single great strain and homey here has a shit grow that gets too hot and causes herms pollenates some other buds and BANG he is bubba kush cuz somebody called him bubba back in the day? I had a cousin we all called mango, kid had a forehead like a drive in movie screen but he was a good shit and one time he farted on a bag of buds and grew the seeds now he is the only one who knows where the real mango cut is. sound legit? yeah, me neither.

I have a pre-98 bubbz fro a grt guy. never flowered it yet, kinda like the anticipation of my grt nu strain but I best get flowering if I want my own jar to take me places. owe that guy canna4 like yesterday.

That is about what I have of it. It keeps getting better. I have been revegging that fucking whore for a few months. One cut has little root, it's going into soil today. I am not very confident I will be able to keep it going. I am doing my best. Another cutting has been in for about 6 days, it isn't looking very good.

tricky to snap some of those hybrids w/ certain indy genetics back out of flo. my 24/0 veg staging area has randoms, mommas and reveggers. in dirt, I just try not to overwater and give light nutes. just revegged "real" (lol) Sensi Jack Herer, thankfully.

You got to be fucking kidding me. I have been sent on wild goose chase for Alaskan thunderfuck. Long story short, last night this came to a head. 12 hours ago!

I ordered a pack of Sannies Jack Here f7 late last night. I need to work that pack online, work it down to keeper, and get cut to dispensary in Marquette for ATF cut.
Was gonna make a thread looking for the Alaskan Thunderfuck and / or the Jack Herer.

Long UP winter, running Somali Taxi Ride and Jack Herer. roflmao. Long fucking winter, makes for blurry spring, maybe? lmao.

I can think of more then a couple strains that started out under stranger circumstances. I have planted over 15 packs of cindy99 to try to find a certain pheno while a friend planted 5 seeds and found it his first try. I use this cindy anology because cindy was a mutant found from few seeds in a bag of jack herer. So much luck is involved in most aspects of breeding his story does not sound completly crazy. I would guess the advancements in canabis genetics are 2parts selective breeding and 1part dumb luck.

Cool stories stick, whether they are true or not usually doesn't get in the way of a good story. lol.
Problem with the Bubba story is clearly being that this dude comes off as a complete tool.
This Bubba is some db that always refers to himself as Bubba in 3rd person and it annoys his friends.
Like Napster on Italian Job. Dude was a tool on movie, and nobody gave a fuck if he invented Napster or not. lmao.

^^ Wait a minute, you don't call all your friends bubba? I get why no one wants to be believe this guy but, in theory a strain mutation can happen for anyone. It is just the recognition of the beneficial mutation and what you do with it after, that requires something other then luck.

So this guy had a strain he called bubba which was northern lights from north cali.....his kush plant hermied pollinated it and that made bubba kush.......could be true....all I know is bubba kush is one of my favorite smokes.........it is a pretty easy to grow strain....low on the yield but high in quality.......just don't see smell or taste any northern lights in it......been growing it for a few years now and it is definitely one of my favs.....about to harvest some in 10 days.......
