Hey Doc just got my BOG's and my Chemdawgs! I'm gonna start immediately. I usually soak my beans for 24 hrs but I notice in greenthumb's instructions he says not to cause u can drown them for lack of oxygen.

yeah i talked to him about that because i have always soaked them for about 8-12 hours. He says you are inviting problems that way. Not that you will for sure kill them but you increase your chances of drowning them. So, i tried it without the pre soak and they popped just fine.

Well, i was originally thinking of vegging these to 24 inches tall and flowering them for 70 days but after some conversation and thought im going to change that.

I will probably veg to about 12-15 inches and then flower around 84 days if all goes well. I've been doing a lot of thinking about what my medical needs are and i'm in need of a nice relaxing, sleep inducing strain. I talked to Doc about what this one is like at 80 days and it looks like it will fit exactly what i need....lets see if i can keep them healthy enough to take that far. Of course, i will probably take some down at the 70 day mark just to test it but the majority will come down past 80 days.

Yeah I just put em in a damp napkin under a styrofoam plate on top of my t5 light. I actually liked it that so they're popped and have cracked soil. So ur right it worked out

What made u switch on the height u decided to veg until? And do u even look at ur trichs or go strictly by time?

After talking to Doc i was under the impression that vegging to that height wont necessarily increase my yield and i need to keep my garden profile in check. Its out of control right now with the very big Jazz plants i have in there and i want to keep the bubba fairly compact. I know the bubba wont stretch out that much anyway but why wait so long if my yield will be around the same anyway.

i look at trichs and i look at pistils as well as swollen calyxes. The number of days is for me just a guideline to go by.

Day 49 Pictures.

Plant 1...

Plant 2

As of today (day 51) P1 is 15 inches tall and P2 is 23". P1 is still having the strange leaf twist at the top of the plant...i just don't know why. I've been having trouble getting the PH down in that one so that may be the issue. I know its not over fed because its been flushed down to nothing and after being fed again the runoff is only 250ppm. Any ideas?

I will let p1 get a bit taller and then into flower they go.

Plant one really looks like an overdose of N to me but I have no doubt you thought of that as well and have looked into it. Its interesting how you can run into odd ball plants when you grow from seed, mother nature can be a cruel bitch some times.

Peace, Lm

yeah...i have thought of that because thats what it looks like to me a well. I've been feeding it at such a low dose that I thought it couldn't be that but now I am not so sure. Im trying straight water for a few feedings to see if it picks up.

I grabbed enough free samples from advanced nutes to do my small tent crop, Im all about the "free" part in free samples. Im running 4 x g13s, three in the 50/50 promix/perlite mix and one in coco. Feeding everything the AN food except one, that one i kept on the blue powder..until she got 3 inches behind..Now she is on AN.. I dunno what to tell you bro. Also plants in our perlite/promix combo are out growing the one in coco, not by a lot but by enough..
As for your girl Id flushed her out well with some super low low low ppm plant food. Not enough to feed but just enough to bind with the excess food {salts} that are already locked into the soil and drag them down and out. That way she can eat some of the green out of her leaves. If your big lower fans stay green you know your on the right track feeding water or low ppms, if your lower fans start to yellow or fade its something else. I had similar problems with the 35s and the g13s in veg, i think it has to do with urea but its all to much to type and I know you have the interweb skills too look it up =)
Now i could be totally full of shiat and be 10 miles off about all this...I figure the odds are 50/50 amigo.

Peace, Te Lilman

Okay....back to the show!

28 days of Flower.

Plant 1...The Runt.

Plant 2.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on the Runt just in case it does something crazy. I'm a bit worried about some of the inside growth looking a little yellow and starting to rot. Some leaves have shriveled up but they are still wet and could lead to mold issues....I may end up cutting this plant but i will keep it for a while longer.

Plant 2 looks like the picture of health and the flower response is very nice for 28 days.

These Bubbas' have reached the point where I can start my next seeds. Next up Chemdawg X G13......I will only be growing 1 plant and I'm going to try to pull 2 pounds off of it. I have serious doubts i will make the goal but I'm going to give it try.

To be honest im going back to jacks because im out of the MG 20-20-20. A friend had given me what i have and it was running low when he gave it to me. I cant find it at any store so i would have to order it online. I already have plenty of Jacks sitting around so why bother. I could run the same method with the jacks and it will come out just as good or better.

Drain to waste is what i was doing before. Using Promix you keep the PH at 5.7 and feed every time with about 400ppm making sure to get plenty of run off.

9 G13's? ...wow! could be a tight room. i didn't get a chance to do a g13 from clone before i killed everything in my garden and lost it.

thanks about the cigs.....

Wow, I run my pro-mix at around 6.3..............
