Brown spots on yellowing leaves

For about a week now we have had lower leaves that are yellowing and developing brown spots. Some have tips that are discolored and drying. I've posted some pics. Never seen this symptom before, but I'm hoping someone here has.

Your plant looks hungry. What's your runoff PH?

I checked the nutrient level today. I don't have a very sophisticated tester, but it was registering at the top end of the low on nutrients scale. We fed them with some organic 5-5-5. I didn't do a run off ph, but the readings taken in the soil were between 6.8 and 7.1. Perhaps a little high, but not too far off.

I've also been spraying them with Organicide and I'm going to stop that. It could be that I'm spraying too heavily and causing the problem.

Much higher than 6.5 and nutrients begin to lock-out. You still might want to flush with distilled water or something to lower that pH a bit more. You can foliar feed to make the fertilizer immediately available to the plants and they might improve in a couple days. It will take the plants longer to start getting much from the soil via the roots even after the pH is adjusted.

Oh yah, and I doubt the Organicide is causing this if you're using it at the recommend rates (1-2 oz/gallon). I use it quite frequently at higher doses and have yet to encounter a similar problem. However, stopping wouldn't be a bad idea and if/when it goes away you could start to apply it again beginning with 0.5-1 oz per gallon or so and see if it recurs.

Just sprayed the girls with nutes, so we'll see if it helps. Thanks for the tip.

Nooooo....don't foliar feed when you have leaf issues.

So do I have leaf issues or do I have low nutrient issues?

I thought I would post some updated pictures in the hope that someone would be able to help as things progressed.

i have the same prob..........but my leafs are more yelow........the ph is 6.0 my fert is plagron alga bloom.....I give to my ladies 300ml water into a 10 Liter pot the concentration is-into 10l watel 10ml fert..but the dont gone to start to be green watt is the prob????P.S the are into the 3-rd week flowering.and this problem are 2 weeks before the begining of flowering

Looks to me that they are getting to hot in the day..that or the soil is getting to hott... how hot does it usually get in the day

Im almost 100 % sure its getting way to hot...eventually the whole plant will be yellow wont die right away though

It's been hitting about 105 F on some days.

sometimes they will die right away like one of my mothers a couple months back...it was about 5 ft tall....plants can get heatstroke fast..im thinking your using to much nutrients too.. start watering morning..if it is getting to hot you probably have to water more too..try going to lowes and get a solar screen...read instructions though and that should help...once you do that give it two-three days to get dark green good luck and also dont water when sunlight is on them..if they did go into shock it will be at least a week to notice a change..

oh 105 isnt bad...when its the heat of the day put your finger in the soil or even better stick a thermometer and see..i would do these things before anything...during the day does the leaves stand up, or are they slowtching a bit.

if those brown spots get worse i would worry..its hard to see the spots in the pic

Also once you sort this out...your gonna want to get rid of your water leafs..the water leafs are leafs that are most of the time the biggest...very important never to trim the top quarter of your plant. the top quarter of your plant has sun leafs that are identical to water leafs... dont mess with those...you only touch the top of your plant to top it so you can get two stems out of what ever you top..
ANYWAYS
Start on the very bottom...when your looking at the bottom you will notice stems branching out..the top and and bottom are the plants fastest growth...so when your looking at the bottom and see a stem branching wait until that stem thats branching out gets about half a foot or more of length...were that stem first started you will see the water leaf. start at ther bottom and cut one water leaf per stem if the stem is over 1/2 foot. do the bottom stems and middle stems water leaFs and thats it...your plant will take off like a bat out of hell...IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THIS THEN DONT DO IT K. AND THIS IS AFTER YOU TAKE CARE OF THE YELLOW. Oh by the way what your doing with those water leafs by cutting them is promoting growth of new water leafs on the same stem. anyways good luck

oh wow i seen the update pic....how far from the top are the leafs with spotts like that
