The Spruce Zeus is on the money there. I've been fighting a Mag/Zinc defr. recently. Now not to get too technical, but the ZINC def seen normally at the tops of the plant are caused by mainly too high of a ph. Now, once the ph goes over 7-7.5 i believe it is(if someone knows exacts please chime in), then both zinc and mag get locked out wich cause them to occcur together! Now, both of these ar micro nutes so if u ADD too much, u'll lock up the major nutes NPK>>>in which case the best alternative is to LOWER THE PH(if that's the case) to 6.5-7, to 'unlock', the nutes and redeem the plants nutrition absorbtion. PH is definately a MAJOR key in growing and u MUST keep an eye on it!

While we can all agree that epsom salts contain magnesium, however you need to look at the cause of your deficiency. In this case, PH lockout. By throwing alot of nutrients at a problem you're just asking to burn the shit out of your plants when your ph does balance out. Foxfarms makes quality products and their nutrients should contain more than enough mag and other micronutrients for your plants, but they will only absorb them within a certain ph range.
I jacked this chart from THE INTERNET!!! As you can see, your plants ability to take up nutes is directly related to the PH.

Be patient, settle your ph issues first, and the mag def should fix itself.
Ok will do, flushed all of them and I'll back off on the nute feeding. Already an improvement in growth and vigor from yesterday.
