Broke root off during transplant

I've got a plant that I broke the root clean off of the plant yesterday evening when I was gonna transplant it. I taped the roof as close as I could back to the plant, put it back in some more soil and watered It. This morning, it's looking like this, is it going to live?

Yes its done and dusted. I cant believe you tried to tape the root back to the plant. At least that's original.
Somebody told me that if they're close enough for a long enough period of time, it will repair itself with enough sunlight.

Looks dead already but give it a week, you honestly meet know with these plants.. You should start your seeds in cups that size, then transplant to their permanent home.

Would it be easier to buy some autoflower seeds? And be able to have some weed through the winter? If so, how many autoflower seeds should I buy?

If you can afford to keep the plant, it might be wise to do so bro.

I had one that I went digging in the soil for, seed had sprouted out of its shell, but not popped the soil surface yet. In my digging, I had separated the cotyledon from the tap root and seed shell. Immediately, I amended the entire area in the center of the red cup with mykos powder, and got the seed shell, still with root in tact developing, to be stable and upright enough to where I could sit the separated cotyledon on top and cover with more mykos, and then a layer of soil to lock it all in and establish support. It took over three weeks, but the plant re-rooted, and produced the best herb of that medical run.

So, if you can afford to keep the plant, I would encourage you to do so, and just be really kind to it and careful. When I had my thing happen, I gave very little water initially, and continued to water sparingly, after a few weeks the plant had grown just the smallest amount up from the surface of the soil, so I gave it about 4x the amount of water I had been at previous waterings, within three days the plant doubled in size, took off and did not stop from there.

Hope this helps a little. good work to do what you can to help the plant live on, cause it does want to live on thats for sure.

Honestly I wouldn't waste any money on seeds when you are a new grower.. Should really get the practice with bag seed in before spending money on the genetics without being able to properly care fore them.. I still have yet to try good genetics other than clones.
