This sounds like a bigger problem in Europe...compared to the East Coast of the USA. I just started getting shitty weed from a new neighbor. It's not the worst I've had, but it has seeds, I found a thread in one (must have been from trying it up, just a small piece...and it's dry, and harvested too early....but it's not sticky, not shiny, it appears to be as low quality as it really is, so I don't think anyone added to it.

It DOES make me thirsty. Like when you go to the movie, and have that fake buttered popcorn, and it makes a film on your mouth that makes you thirsty. Like that, but to a far lesser degree. That makes me think the chems weren't flushed in the growth, or just shitty growing conditions....but no additives like sand or glass.

I hope.

my god this is a crazzy ass thread but i will let you in on a little secret that i have never talked about. but its not about weed but still the same principal!!!!

ok well i used to be in the biz of coka cola for the cops lmao and sold to a customer that WAS a friend of mine that i had known forever.
well one day i made a pickup in miami and went by his place to drop some shit off and my shit was early by the way, so i walk in his house and the day before he needed to sell 3 keys but only had like 2 and a half in order pay for the shit i was droppin off ( by the way the jackass spent money like a leaky toilet, 24/7) so he goes through his house and only finds a few 0zs of cut and a costco pack of commet cleaner so he mixed it in with the partial key and sold that shit to someone i knew. well i took my shit and said im out and were done doin bizness. so he freaked out and i left. well i call the dude up and he told me he was usein it and freaked out, well last i heard hes in the belly of a few gators out in the glades and noone knows what happened!

the point of me tellin my fellow RIUer's this is to prove a point that some people will do anything for money so dont trust anyone.
i got out of that trade when a importer went broke and cut 100 keys with some rat poison and i couldnt deal with that shit no more, then it was all over the news and he got fucked reall bad. so i just stick to my ganja!:weed:
What goes around really does come around, sometimes.

I'm not the type to rat out my dealer when I get caught with a sack in my pocket, but I would for sure head straight to the fuzz if a dealer sold me some fucked up shit with comet, rat poison, glass, etc mixed in it. I wouldn't even wait for them to catch me with it, I'd just march right into the station and hand the bag over.

It'd be totally worth it for another mark on my record to roll over on a scumbag dealer who cuts their shit with fucking poison.

I had a thought, of a way that might work for checking for glass or metals (like lead) added.

Take a small amount on a paper plate, grind it up to a powder. Stick it in the microwave. If it starts to spark, you know it's no good. If it has glass, the beads will get super hot instead of burn.

the metal was an isolated indecent in germany so i wouldnt worry about metals

i wouldnt put bud in the microwave for any reason

i read the way to check for sand silica or glass you rub a bud on the shiny side of a cd you dont care about. if the cd gets all scratched up the bud is contaminated

A few of my friends were out not long ago from B.C, victoria island actually. They said that this year the leo isn't even destroying crops anymore. Apparently when they find a patch they spray it from the chopper. They tell me it doesn't kill the plants or anything, but that the weed is just horrible after taste smell burning etc. I'm going to look more into this but if it's true I imagine there will be alot of shit weed around this fall/winter.

id like more information on this too. what do they use? whatever it is, it cant be safe to ingest. i cant imagine a government purposely poisoning peoples plants

Yeah I know. I could be organic and just make the plants unusable? IDK? I looked into it a bit and found nothing so who knows i'll look some more.

thankfully in the us we dont have to worry bout this threat... where i live if there was any contaminated buds they would not sell, and the persons buisness selling this shit would go under....i kinda like our market now that i think about it

just thought id pull the most relevant part out of that article...

"During the late 1970s, a controversial program sponsored by the US government sprayed paraquat on marijuana fields in Mexico.[7] Since much of this marijuana was subsequently smoked by Americans, the US government's "Paraquat Pot" program stirred much debate. Perhaps in an attempt to deter people from using marijuana, representatives of the program warned that spraying rendered the crop unsafe to smoke.
However, independent bodies have studied paraquat in this use. Jenny Pronczuk de Garbino, [8] stated: "no lung or other injury in marijuana users has ever been attributed to paraquat contamination". Also a United States Environmental Protection Agency manual states: "... toxic effects caused by this mechanism have been either very rare or nonexistent. Most paraquat that contaminates marijuana is pyrolyzed during smoking to dipyridyl, which is a product of combustion of the leaf material itself (including marijuana) and presents little toxic hazard.""

anyone else think this is the worst idea ever? and where does the us gov get off spraying mexico's fields with this herbicide? and do you really think they studied the effects of what happens when some one smokes this bud?

i may be confused. but what does that paraquat thing do. obviously doesnt kill the plants if you still get "smokeable" buds off em and when you light it it supposedly turns to a chemical that the plant meterial releases... so whats the point? besides trying to kill people.

so im like 90% sure this weed my friend got hat that BRIX+ shit on it. my first sign was that it smelled sweet and tasted nice for regular mids. then the first joint i rolled turned out shitty cuz the paper was shitty and didnt stick, but when i broke the paper off it was all in joint form still.

i mentioned the stuff to my friend and he told me to to be surprised when regular weed was good. and i kinda didnt push it. i didnt think the high was much better than a regular mids high and there were alot of shitty seeds big and small, my friend missed a small one, YUCK:spew:
I dont like the Brix+ and I wouldnt bother using it. All I want to add though is that Brix+ is not really a dangerous thing to have added to your smoke. After All its 100% organic isnt it? Its gotta be better than some of the other shit that people have mentioned. Also Im not sure how much Brix your suppose to add to your buds or how long a 1lt bottle will last you (like how much weight increase it would give overall) but at about $50 per litre I cant see it being a cheap way to try and increase weight. It sounds more like a product aimed at people who want to spend money and buy every additive they can for their plants in hope of a better yield.

Growhard (the company behind Brix+) actually have some great products, 2 of which (Budmeister and Liquid Lead) I use in my feed schedule and ive always been happy with them and have noticed the difference when I didnt add them into the feeding shedule.

Has anyone heard yet if it's true that the crops are being sprayed in B.C instead of destroyed? I've looked a little but find nothing?

click that link about paraquat, and look up herbicides
Sounds similar to what my buddies were explaining, my buddies said you couldn't tell they were sprayed until consumption like awful taste etc. I have no idea how they(my buddies) would know this in the middle of summer as nothing was ripe then? Maybe there are just talking out their ass? I was just looking to see if there are more stories of ppl's crops being sprayed, I haven't heard any stories from news like RCMP find and spray 2 pot fields in the mountain region blah blah kinda stories.
