What are you spraying? as many on this site know, I don't think much of brf for the very reason you are posting, it takes to long and it takes too long to determine if you have failed.

Well, 65 is a bit low ;unles you are going to temperature shock, even then, two days of 65 are plenty, I find that 75 to 80 is good for fruiting. Stamets agrees.
not at all...it has been working fine for me for a couple years...simply my experience...I found cooler fruiting temps gave me larger yet less numbers of boomers...I'd rather harvest and dry as few shrooms as I kin while maintaining a decent BE...you do things the way that works for you....I do things my way...;)

But you see, this is not exactly true - that you do things your way and I do them mine, now I am going to have to do things your way because it sounds very reasonable. How long at 60 does it take to go from primordia to veil break?

well...first...why do you have to do things my way...don't fix shit that ain't broke...what works for me in my area may not work in your area...as for the timing of fruiting....who knows...I've tossed buckets of spent Oyster sub out in the yard and the dam things fruited again...without any attention....they fruit when they are ready...but it is a longer wait at cooler temps...a trade off I willingly take as contams like temps warmer which = less flushes...just how I do shit...there is no "proper" way to grow shrooms...but a closed mind limits ones ability to progress...I hope I'm not sounding like a dick...;)))

I don't hear dick in here at all. So far as my trying things your way, it had never occured to me that I might be able to use temp changes not only to initiate pinning (I know I know, all you other readers, temperature changes are not required for pinning - but if you want good solid canopies as I do, temperature shocks are an advantage), but to enhance fruit size and perhaps density, and perhaps strength - so, so, even though it ain't broken I like to be aware of all the different options and I am interested in mastering the things I work with.

Keep mine 1st grow at steady 69-70 under a window catching indirect sunlight when its out and my ambient humidity in the city of madison,wi is 80-100% humidity so i dont think ill have to worry too much bout dat 1 huh? here see how thats been doing for me..some pix of pin porn...3 days after birth and dunk..started pinning invitro b4 removing from jars..either pink buffalo or cambodian strain..what yall think? catch more pix of operation on my new thread..027.jpgView attachment 2018405
