breakable stem before jars

Should I wait for the stem to snap on the buds before I jar them ?.I was talking to someone the other day and they said I shouldn't wait for the snap before jars because there needs to be some moisture for the cure.so I am a little confused now also does smaller buds on a branch get cut off when they feel dry or do they stay on untill the rest of the branch has dried

i jar just before the stem snaps myself as like u said i noticed if the stem snaps then the bud is to dry to cure if buds are dense and nice i hang for 7 days at around 70 o c then they go into jars

Ok cheers mate what about the smaller nuggets on a branch which dry faster.do you keep them on until the rest of the larger buds are dry on the same branch ? Or do you take them off when they feel dry to touch hope you get what I mean lol

yes mate i keep em all on the branches with the big buds but after 7 days dry u can normally smoke a few of the smaller buds if the buds are really small i tend to loosley put the small ones on a drying net but all buds go into jars after 7 days ish i take whole branches and trim the whole branch and hang the branch up i think the stem lets the moisture dry evenly between the big and small buds

Exactly what I wanted to hear so if I wait for the main stem to crack abit when I bend it not snap they should be ok for jars

yes mate i would check at 5 days and normally the buds ready at 7 thou i had some fluffy buds before that was ready at 5 days but if the buds are dense and nice 7 days mate

Ok thanks mate is it normal for a grassy type smell from when they are drying ?
