brainstorm regeneration, whats your opinion

hi green cross, well thats real interesting and i guess it makes sense. doubt it would become common practice though, i know i certainly wouldnt seed a regen. thanx for the input and i shall let you know if i think the quality is down.

it may reduce yield in some species, can be done with out to many problems, best to re veg for a mother

reveg and genetics is an interesting topic, but would be skeptical of implicating genetic issues based on Cervantes
Cervantes is a good read and the man certainly was not ignorant, but there is no way he could ascribe a reduction of plant vigor from reveg due to genetics.
How would you test for that, some detailed genetic analysis? Show such an analysis from actual tests. He noted a loss in vigor in some reveg situations. That I can believe. But is that loss of vigor due to genetics or other issues?
I have also seen a few reveg experiences where the grower say increased vigor in revegged mothers.

there are alot of people on this site that would disagree with you (edit: Jorge) ... although i have yet to reveg ever, i will be shortly

so far so good, new growth getting quicker, still at the odd shaped leaves stage, will post more pics in next few days. can i also just say what a great smoke brainstorm has been, heavy shit.

was that brainstorm from dutch passion? was it feminized? what is the buzz like?

hi ghopzz, yeah dutch passion fem seeds, yellow leaves at start but a little neat nitrogen solved the problem. had a balloon off my volcano at 2.57 now 3.03 and nice light buzz, tingles in head and neck, now staring to get heavier but still clear. when i have more it just scrambles my head and gets pretty heavy. lovely red hairs and by the way i chopped at 5-6 weeks. grown mostly under 2 x 70 watt hps and 1 blue 250 enviro. not to much and its a clear , strong, almost trippy not mongy stone. lasted me much better than the stuff i buy.

we had a dry period of bout 2 weeks and no way im going without a smoke, i always figure if it smokes good then it doesnt matter, you lose some weight but ive already got more going and just chopped last of brainstorm in flower at 7 weeks.you also tend to get a more buzzy stone if chopped early.

oh yeah 1 non viable seed, i think lots of fem plants herm slightly towards the end of flowering but not enough to have an effect.

heres a pic from today, regen is going well, lots of new growth, been misting with a low dose of mg each day but only water through soil. thinking of doing some lst on it

your reveg seems to be going well, how many days since you changed the light cycle?

on about the 2nd of september it was just left around the house, was going to bin it and then i began 24 hour light on the 14 september because i decided to regen it. i repotted it and gave 1 dose of nitrogen by roots and then low dose mg each day via leaves.its mainly under a 70 watt hps but i also got a 250 enviro in same cupboard

you got to do LST.
i love the reveg, so many bud sites.
right now i got two in a grow off, the winner will be revegged.
yeehoo! that thing looks healthy.

wow... looks nice! you restarted on sept 14? not bad, thats pretty quick. i hope i have such good results.

cheers figtree, has gone better than i expected, will put more pics up today. bet would really go with a nice 600 watt light over it lol.
