seriously though, there is alllllll sorts of ways to get water from the desert, just study it, innovate, there's ways around, I promise.

I watched Survivorman collect water in the Sahara. I am positive you can do this method and get a LOT of water quite easily in California.

You could hook up a 55 gallon rain barrel underneath it, just figure out the rate at which you collect water, and try to make it so that your drips to your plant, drips less than you collect. strategically set up a few of these so you don't run out and always have a perpetual water supply.

Condensation, who'd have thunk it :-)

Spacecake needs to get a grip on reality me thinks. He's either stupid, or has an agenda.

One would have thought it more logical to tell people to turn the tap off while they brush their teeth, or shorten their showers, but Nope, for some reason he doesn't want people buying hydro. Hmmmmmm..

@tip top - so really, your only real problem is that the content of this thread/my message, isn't accurately represented by the "subject line"?

okay, got it.

Do explain how hydro by default equates waste and as such warrants a boycott, and how soil growing doesn't involve waste.

there's another post somewhere in the thread where I explained I was exaggerating. This isn't the issue. what are you arguing?
I didn't bother reading the rest of the thread, if you have something important to state you state it in the OP. It is specifically what i am focused on.

You want people to boycott hydro, you have no argument for the very thread you created. :) Sounds like a pretty stupid thread to make in my mind.

The message is: save water, there is a shortage

It's pretty self explanatory by now.

You just happened to be a little too simplistic to understand how to go about putting that message across in any logical manner.
