Sometimes I just let the hot water in my shower run so I can turn my bathroom into a sauna...Bask in the steam, while the water runs down the drain.

I was being a bit exaggerative when i said boycott hydro, like I said, that's ridiculous.

We're running out of fresh water in California, it's real simple.
When Cali falls into the ocean, it will have plenty of water  and we'll get rid of Hollywood in the process :-P:clap: man what a plus that will be, my cats are more entertaining than "most" of the movies they make today...Riddick sucked...Wolverine sucked...my cat rolling herself up in a towel, very entertaining especially when I'm high :bigjoint:cuz I love my pussy....cat...

The only logical reason cali has water and power problems..Stink foot hippys.
There is no reason for cali to ever have a water or power problem. Its just there own lack of foresight and stupidity.
Cali is like Atlanta but bigger.Atlanta built and expanded a city beyond its water capacity. Some day when there is a drought they will run out of water.
Same with cali..if you have a five year drought you will run out of water..for sure.To many people not enough services or water storage..not enough electrical capacity.

thanks to the people that take things seriously. It's easy to deny, rationalize, or humor life's problems. Those are all very basic responses to real-life issues that are very difficult to confront for some.

Defense mechanisms aside, I feel a little let down. For once, I'm not proud for cannabis, or the culture she creates.

Some good news is that a storm is heading for the Sierras in a day or so. Maybe we'll get some up north. I'm on the east side of the hill but we need rain bad. We had just over 3 in's this year but we're a desert so...

Since when did hydro equate dumping gallons of water down the drain? By your argument why not boycott soil growers for watering for runoff?

I grew hydro, I never dumped a drop. The plants drank it.

Why not boycott all growing entirely. Surely if there is a water shortage then being able to drink is more important than having a toke?

Southern cali needs desalination plants on the coast. This problem is only going to keep happening. Probably get worse. Its inevitable! The new delta water tunnel plan IS NOT going to be the answer

yeah. Cali could probably use some desalination plants. I'm not in the know, but last I checked, basic desalination devices for small ships/yachts are fairly expensive. I can't imagine what it would cost on a larger scale. I also don't know if pulling from the ocean is the answer.

I just really think people need to be aware that there isn't this endless supply of fresh water. It's hard to accept, and easy to tease, but it's real, and unless everybody finds ways of moderating water use, it's just gonna get worse.

typically, a few really basic modifications to people's water use can result in hundreds of gallons saved each month. Across the state, it makes a difference. Most the time, it's people who just simple aren't aware.

Yet despite a water shortage, you're happy for people to waste it on plants instead of people?

It's not about me. It's about everybody. everybody needs to find ways to reduce their water use. I won't even try to prioritize consumption. You figure it out. If not growing is your way of saving water, great. If you offset your grow water, by showering less, awesome. It's simple man. Try contributing for once.

Yet this whole thread is about boycotting hydro, not finding ways to reduce water.

If your thinking was really about simply offsetting water use, then hydro would have nothing to do with it.

Say what you mean, don't make a thread on a bullshit premise. You want people to save water, regardless of how they do it, so state that, don't talk shit about boycotting hydro. You clearly don't have a clue and just posted the very first thing that came to your head. My soil and hydro grows used exactly the same amount of water. Why should you advocate boycotting my hydro pants on that basis?

You want people to use less water. That is it. Growing hydro has nothing to do with anyhing. For all you know hydro growers take showers and soil groewers take baths.
