If you dried properly, it should not be wet or damp, the outside will feel dry and the inside of the bud will still feel damp. Yes you can then put them into jars and put a Boveda pack inside. You can check after a day or so to make sure your buds were not wet. Then it will cure properly with the Boveda inside. You can also keep your buds for storage, short or long term with the Boveda, weeks, months, years.

You still want your RH around 63-65 rh or if it's lower 59-6 ish is fine too when to add it in...because going it at let's say 68 it might not exactly do what you want, you'll have to burp it on lay it out

BURP until rh is a STABLE 55-60% (60 tops), THEN toss in your 62% packs. the packs just stabilize the rh in the buds, nothing more. it wont help remove any moisture from rushing the cure from a rushed cure.

Do the 62 rh packs work better than the 49% ones ?

I find the buds still a little too soft out the jar at 60% and over 70% mold is a risk, wanted to try these for a while and I`ll have a fair bit to cure in the next month or 2

Anyone used the 49`s yet ? I`m guessing there a bit dry for most but as I`m in the uk the RH is always 70 to 90% here I`ve see bud that was dry in a jar get left out in an unheated room and go soft and damp just from the moisture in the air, so I`m not sure if I`d be better off with 49 packs

I guess if I was selling it 62rh would add a bit more weight..... but I don`t really care about that

They are a good alternative . I use them in various size CVAULTS - Stainless Steel

I dry the bud until around 69% ( hang then brown bag ) . I store in mason jar overnight with hygrometer to see where drying has left the RH. If in general range I put in the BOVEDA pack and seal away for 24 hours. Then I check to see if it settled to 62%

49's are too dry and will degrade your smoke.

62 boveda's are the way to go, but there is no replacement for a digital hygrometer. With really dense bud, it can take a week for the humidity to stabilize in decent size jars. I'm not doing all that work, and then risking it going bad over a $25 hygrometer. Every Jar gets a boveda and a digital hygrometer.

I'm going to go against everyone here and say boveda should only be used as a tool and not for storing. I have a few of the big ass c vaults and I put a unit in one and stored with a c vault ...when stored the nug was 55% . After a month with 4 boveda packs in there it was 62.. But it smelled like shit like a funky smell and the color of the weed looked different . This has happened to a few units over the last 6 months and other people I work with also have had bad results with them . I use the bovedas if weed gets too dry.. But once it's 59%ish I like to store it in a c vault or mason without a boveda pack .

I had a similar experience with the boveda's. IMO I think storage in a C-vault, in a cool, dark area is the way to go!!!bongsmilie Boveda's are great when you leave your buds out to long, or a come up on dry buds!:hump:

Last year I removed the Boveda packs from about half my jars after a few months. The jars that still have the packs smell better, taste smoother, and the buds look fresher. Just my opinion based on my experience...
