Botanicals?

Sorry if this topic has been covered, but I was unable to find concise answers anywhere!

I just received some passion flower, wild dagga, skullcap, wild lettuce, and damiana leaf. I purchased them all from Amazon. I tried vaporizing some of each today, and I *think i felt effects from everything. I'm very tired from snowboarding all day, and there was a weed taste in the vapor because I used the same bowl and bag, so i doubt there would be enough thc to give me any sort of feeling what so ever. I hope it wasn't placebo affect!

I have a couple questions about these botanicals... Does anyone know how much I should be vaporizing at a time (propper dosage)

and are there any negative side effects I should know about?

I also have another question. Can i infuse botanicals with citrus oils and vaporize or smoke them successfully and safely?

Sorry if this post sounds cryptic. Like I said, I'm exhausted from snowboarding all day

I almost bought some passion flower... just got mullien and damiana though, I dont care for damiana, mullein I do like, how does the passion flower compare to the Damiana in flavor and smoke? for me the flavor of damiana is to strong causes headaches, but I can smoke lots of the mullien with out any headaches, I haven't noticed any narcotic effects from smoking them though, gonna put some jwh one some of it soon though got everything I need but time

I haven't "smoked" any of them yet. Just vaped em. a website recommended that the passion flower be vaped at a lower temp then the damiana. The passion flower is a little milder in taste. Damiana tastes like bees wax candeles (unless they are just scented with damiana).

Another question. Say I like the flavor of lemon balm, which vapes at a low temp. If i use lemon balm to flavor other herbs, and vape them at a higher temp, will the lemon balm create harsh smoke?

Update: Lemon balm is delicious. And it is fine at higher temps in the volcano.

I put a layer of lemon balm on top of the vaped weed from the first bag, and the second bag is very tasty, with no noticeable difference in smoke consistency.

What other herbs taste like citrus? I'm thinking I might use mostly lemon balm in my jwh mixture, since I will be vaporizing it for the most part.

I hear lemon verbena is a good one

Not sure on the above question, but would you recommend the passion flower? I have some growing in my front yard and heard its also a mild MAOI. Thinking of combining it with my next shroom trip and see how it works.

i still have all of the passion flower that i intended to vaporize. I recently bought passion flower gel caps from vitamin shoppe, and eating 10 of them is fairly relaxing. I'm going to grind up the herbs that i bought, and put them in gel caps of my own. I would say go for it. I have read that it really isn't dangerous, unless you consume a very large dose.

Kava root and skullcap are nice too.

I just tried kratom, but i need to try it again in a few weeks, when i haven't taken any opiates!

and i am going to try kanna.

Keep takeing the kratom, it will help you leave the opiates as it blocks the pleasure response from the latter.

I don't quite follow, mister... I'm not addicted to opiates, i just happened to have taken oxy this week. But im not going to use prescriptions anymore, now that I know there are some interesting natural botanicals out there.

can you recommend any other safe herbs? Ever try california poppy or blue lotus? I don't want to try any strong MAOIs, such as syrian rue.

Rue is not a MAOI its a RIMA, a reversible inhibbitor. Actualy realy nice in low doses.
I think yuo are missing the best qualities of the herbs by not sticking to one for a good while before moveing on... If you smoke pot you might understand how the pleasure of weed just gets better over the years, compared to the very small window someone who has just started smokeing has into what weed can do for you.

I get it, and i like it very much, but you would suggest not trying kanna or rue until i get sick of kratom?

Does syrian rue make you vomit?

If you take too much, or start out with too big doses, its realy easy to do a vinigar extraction on the seeds if you want to avoid the tannins which is what makes one sick.

interesting. Regarding Kratom, how would you compare 1 gram of UEI to 7 grams of any normal leaf kratom product? The UEI was nice, but too expensive to use frequently.

ultra enhanced indo. It cost 45 for 3gs. I also got enhanced golden for 27 for 3gs. My roomate is on the golden now, and says its pretty awesome.

What I'm asking is do you have any experience with kratom extracts or enhanced leaf, and is it really worth the extra money per dose? See this chart >>> http://kratomplateau.com/blog/?p=15

No, in my opinion its best to start with plain leaf as you will over time build up a tolerance, if you start on the big guns there is nothing to move up to. Best is fresh kratom leaf.
