Yo guys,

Ok, my grow is looking excellent, just need to sort out the high humidity prob when the lights are off.

BUT, i have 5 weeks left in flower and was going to take a cutting from the best plants and make bonsai mothers.

i read a few posts on riu and other forums (here is the link incase anybody wants it)

https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/198463-bonsai-all-about-bonsai-mothers.html

So im off to buy the parst today...can somebody confirm the eviroment for a mother bonsai (it doesnt go into much detail in the posts i have been reading)

Its to be planted in soil and im currently using MH for veg...so new to CFLs.

Ok, so here is the plan...join in with any advice or tips.

Lights:
=======
CFL X 2
23w each (is the rule 23w per mother?)
lights running at 2700kelvins?

Box/cab/tent
==========

Since the CFLS run so cold (and i only have two of them)

could i use this as a mini grow tent?

Enviroment/Feeding

Keep cooler (around 65-72)
Dont use nutes until a week or two before you plan to take cuttings
I will also also get a smalll pc fan to bring in fresh air.

What you guys think?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! Im off to buy the stuff today haha

im having real problems finding the "splitter" for multiple cfls running from one power supply.

im from the uk, can any uk growers suggest anywhere? I tried b&q (hardware store) ikea and a small electrical store. i would buy them online...if i could find the fuckers :wall:

i would prefer it if they were the screw fitting (Edison screw fittings)

cheers folks!

they sell splitters at walmart, target, home depot, lowes, in general hardware stores.everything else you got goin looks good. i would have atleast 2 23w cfls per plant after seedling stage. seedlings need much less light.
once you take them out of the germination dome i would add 2 23w cfls per plant. this is just how i grow, obviously there is no rule about this. you can find charts for light wattage and lumens needed for plants per square foot. also follow those charts, mostly it has to do with lumens produced

Still having troubles finding these splitters...I like the look of the 4 way (easy haha)...but cant find in the UK. Would like to get the proper veg bulbs and splitters from the same website...but still no luck.

Regarding the amount of light/cfls per plant...i was under the impression bonsai mother plants are on a diet? Lower temp, less lights and no nutes (until a week before cutting time?)

I will try find that chart da chef...cheers man!
