By 12-15 they were going in solo cups. All seeds germinated just fine. No plant pictures at this stage.
This is a soil grow as usual and I have a system that has worked well for me. Soil is always reused and amended for the growth cycle it supports. I toss in everything. Trimmings, root balls etc. Growth cycle soil is amended with alfalfa, oyster shell, neem meal, crab, langbeinite, sulphur, kelp, azomite charged biochar and shredded paper. and bit of Bokashi to move things along. Flowering soil is similar minus alfalfa and neem. As with most things the soil is always a work in progress.Bokashi soil.jpg

2-7 and bud sites are in. Plants are from left to right 1,3,2,4. #3 is the most interesting. Skunky, licorice, orange are some of the scents I get from rubbing against her. #4 is a light sweet smell, like marshmallows and tea. These two both have pink in and around their flowers. Top dressed them with castings and a couple spoonfulls each of buildasoil craft blend. I am planning for water only from here on in. There are some older leaves that still show signs of earlier deficiency from before the final up pot but new leaves are nice and healthy.2-7-2018 Wook-PUF3.JPG

Buds are starting to fill in with some trichome development. Female 3 is my favorite so far. She is a bit skunky and sweet. The others all have varying levels of licorice, sweet lavender and sweet sugar smell. It almost smells like fennel. All very thick ladies with a totem pole structure. 2-23-2018 Wook-PUF3 Group.JPG 2-23-2018 Wook-PUF3 F1.JPG 2-23-2018 Wook-PUF3 F3.JPG 2-23-2018 Wook-PUF3 F2.JPG 2-23-2018 Wook-PUF3 F4.JPG

Well all is taken down and curing is mostly done. They seem to still be improving. Here is a rundown of what was observed during this grow.
F1
Never topped she grew in a wide christmas tree shape. She never got more than 3 ft. in height. She had a sweet licorice smell in flower with a fairly strong earthy backend. After drying and a short cure there is not too much left in the smell department. Even when the bud is broken apart it is fairly bland. This plant was sensitive to too many nutrients.
She made a good single spear for her central cola and the outer buds were were about the size of small eggs. Frostiness was pretty average. All buds showed purple calyx. This was especially noticeable on the lowers. 9 wks.
F2
This plant was not topped and made a christmas tree shape. Buds were very chunky with a fair amount of frost in veg and flower. A little bit more leaf to bud on this one. Leaf structure was also wider and bushier. Most of the buds had the bulbous nodule look to them. There was a fair amount of purple all through the flowers.
I was catching the sweet licorice smells. Less earthy and more sweet reminiscent of blueberry with haze. After the cure these have a gentle sweet earthly smell. Nothing overwhelming. 9 wks.
F3
In veg this was my second least favorite plant. Sensitive to the same soil the others thrived in. She was light on smell and had a decent amount of trichomes. Not as frosty as F2. She was never topped and made the same christmas tree shape the others did. Leaves were more narrow with fatter flowers and a good ratio of flower to leaf. Purple ran all through this one from top to bottom.
After dry and cure she ended up producing some rock solid buds. Smells are of a nice fermented fruit/berry with a musty earthy scent. This one retained the most color and size after dry and cure and while none of these had crazy trichomes this was one of the best in that area. This was probably my favorite of the four pheno's. 9 wks
F4
Never topped this sample and she made a christmas tree shape with smaller less frosty flowers. Also much less purple was noticed in these buds. The flower structure was unique in that they had large sections of pistils grouped together and they stayed white well past week 9. In fact I almost think this plant could have gone a good 12 weeks if I had let her. Scent was very light during veg and she was sensitive to the soil I used for this batch. I did let her go an extra week for a total of 10 wks.
After dry and cure this one is much less on the purple. Smells are like paint thinner with a earthy fermented fruit backend. I think due to all the pistils she made there is a large amount of nice red hairs which looks great.

Final Impressions
Overall these were beautiful plants with the kind of effect I enjoy. Not so hardcore and some pretty nice daytime smoke. They were some of the most photogenic plants I have had the pleasure of growing. I wouldn't say they would be great for concentrates I don't think. None of them had really loud terpines. The dominent smell of the buds were licorice, sweet and earthy. Maybe a little hazy. I should say that when you open the jar they were all a bit muted but getting better as they cure. I want to say that the flavor makes up for this though in some way because it does. These are fantastic in a water pipe or rolled up with a very classic burn in the back of the throat yet smooth and pleasing. I can say I have no problem with burning a whole cone in one sitting and getting nice and toasty. Individual smoke reports to follow along with more pictures of each of the ladies.
