Blueberry

I just came across this post........I thought we were all burners here. Why the drama?
I have grown DP Blueberry for about seven years. I have found it not to produce too well indoors. Thankfully, my buddy keeps a mother going for springtime.
One of my stranger, yet favorite, strains. Never a bug, or mold problem. It never grows one main cola, often branching off in every direction. Usually, needs staked and tied up towards the end. Really brittle stalks, but easily repaired. If one breaks, I just find a long piece of grass and wrap it around the break and it stays healthy.
Real pleasant smoke. I think the most I ever got out of a plant is about 110 g.
I have some awesome pix, but Einstein can't figure out how to post pix. Deetduhdee.

I really enjoy growing the Blueberry Kush. It is soo pretty. The color is a soft blue/green - a color like sage. The plants grow fast, but I suppose most plants do with optimum conditions.

It buds early and keeps on fattening as it goes. The flower schedule seems to be about 8 weeks...maybe a bit longer - I'm still figuring that out. My bb plant yielded about 2 respectable ounces. It cured really nicely. No doubt more the next round as I am using 'sweet' and molasses throughout the flower. Dense crunchy buds that sort of move around when you break them up. It's tasty and it kicks my ass.

Takes about 65-70 days of 12/12 to fully mature, heavy indica, shorter plant, decent yield under sufficient lighting and nutrients...ideal conditions, etc. About 2-3oz per plant or more.

They tend to get deficiencies easily, and under high heat ive seen leaf deformations...such as 3 and 4 petaled leaves and stunted growth.

Keep them between 65-80f for best results, and keep well watered into late flower for optimal stickyness... Any more than about 85f and they can slow down, and leaves deform easily.

As for smoke... Mellow, slight body high, but wont knock you out right away. Its a good evening smoke... a few hours before bed.

I'm currently growing a DP blueberry clone my caregiver gave me...Real short; of course this is partly because it fell over when it was a month old...I thought about staking it up, but then noticed all the side branches had started growing straight up in the air, so i just decoded to let it be...Stems have been a reddish color since I began flowering...PH & PPM are fine, so I figured the red stems were a genetic characteristic. I have it on Advanced nutrients. it's kind of a flat plant (like i said, it fell over), but real wide w/ tons of branches growing up about 12" -16" straight up in the air. I topped it, and that seemed to really stimulate the side branching on this one. On each branch is a bud, small but well formed.

It's in it's 6th week of flower and not being a really big plant I'm figuring about 3 ounces at the most when dried....

What's odd is that a lot of guy's here are saying that theirs does not smell or taste of blue berries, but if you squeeze a cola on mine, or brush up against it, it stinks HEAVILY of blueberries! I mean really strong! I think that their must be different dominant phenotypes of this line as there seem to be really different characteristics that dominate this genetic line, depending on the plant itself...One form I have seen has a large bushy plant form w/ mostly green stems & donkey dick type colas & smells nothing like blueberries and not that sticky; the other (like mine) develops reddish stems early in flower, shorter profile and smaller rounder buds w/ almost a bluish look or cast to the white pistels; and really smells like blueberry & super sticky & very potent smelling...Like mine.

The other blueberries I saw (besides those my caregiver is growing) belonged to a friend of mine who got seeds from DP. He had 6 plants going, some very different looking from mine, but a couple that look & smell just like it.

My caregivers line also came from DP, but he started ten female blueberries, picked the best of the ten to save as mothers (re-vegged & cloned after harvest) and what I got was a clone of a clone of one of his best 3 of 10 blueberry plants.. He did not bother w/ the other 7 he grew as far as re-vegging & cloning goes, saying they weren't quite up to snuff in his book, so i would say it's probably not a real stable strain as received from DP seeing (as my caregiver said) that there was quite a bit of variance of dominant characteristics between the ten he grew from the seeds they sent him... 'Nuff said.

ive got what my dispensary had listed as a northern lightsxblueberry..i got it as a small clone...this plant has been attacked by some kind of bugs (other then spidermites) from the beggining.. it was getting some good holes chewed in it.. i noticed this plant has been the stinkyest ive grown considering its not in flower at all.. it is 100 percent in veg.. im doing LST with multiple tie down chords to make the plant wide and keep it low.. ive got more width to work with then height in my growbox.. its got a 250 watt hps and good vent fans. The Northernlightsblueberry is also outdoor. i carry it outside every morning to give it about 6 to 7 hours of sun a day..Ive also grown a couple other /indoor outdoor plants and noticed decent results. This plant has been very stretchy and lst has been absolutely neccisary.. my grow cabinet is a powerfull one with the bulb coming only about 5 to 6 inches away from the plant.. i often crack the cabinet door and vent a lot of extra air with a tower fan. my ballst is dimmable from 250 to 175 to 150 watts for those hot days and or young plants..I have tied my plants down different before but this is the first time using this many strings and doing ot so precisely.. i have my plant in a flower box to encourage the plant to grow wide and not so deep or tall. going damn good so far.. nutrients is general hydro biothrive organics. and some alaska fish emultion.. kellogs organic soil..Ive read now a few places that blueberry is a stretchy strain.. I think anyone who has not tried lst should try it.. simply bend each branch carefully till they are lowered and pointed outward... this needs to be done early on enough when the branches are flexible.. if the branch dosnt feel like it wants to bend and it feels solid like it might snap it probably will.. so be carefull.. my plant was growing up towards my 250 hps. and the topping was definetey not cutting it... i think i am a huge fan of this lst method for my growbox now. some plants seem to not wanna stay low after u top them.. then 4 branches will shoot up. then 8 then 12.. lst is great.. scrog net seems great too but then u cant really move ur plant around and i like to take mine outdoor with its many strings bending the branches and all
