blueberry in flower

my blueberry and ice cream plants have been flowering for about a week and a half but seem to be a little bit sick, also the colas in the middle are quite small and weak any comments on how to help my girls along would be much appreciated.\

im using a 1000 watt hps, bio thrive bloom nutes ,and awesome blood from champion nutrients, i have bottles with home made c02 running total of 2 bottles, and 2 side 50 watt cfl one of them a 2600k and the other a 6500k to get a larger spectrum.theres a fan at the back but i think i need a stronger one.

i can see the 1000 hps bulb hanging with no reflector ???? verticle hanging is ok but get an umbrella reflector to maximise your light , lose the cfl's (using electric for nothing, the 1000w is ample in that space, also adding heat needlessly), get a stronger fan on full power, lower your 1000w bulb to 1.5ft from top of plants, Dont spray your buds , although a slim chance of rotting them , theres no gain from it, good luck :-)

theres a sunwing reflector above the 1000 watt, i cant run the 1000 all the time thats why i run the cfls too, whats the best kinda fan to get for this.

im really excited to see the finished product after harvest, ill post updates and pics throught the flowering about every 2 days. should i lower the hps now or should i wait until i get a better fan i know its really hard to tell but from what your looking at and from your experience whats the yield per plant im looking at.

What kind of air circulation is blowing on the plants. The blooms look fine as does the foleage. The stems appear weak so I am guessing they have not been adequately ventilated to induce the stems to thicken up. Plan on a fair amount of staking and tieing to keep those plants standing up.

The stem only acts as a conveyor belt for water/nutes in and what the plant dont need out , as long its strong enough to hold up the buds , they will suffice , there are many ways of controlling the height and density of your plants from bending to topping to lst them , you need to research these methods, a stronger fan during vegg period will improve stem strength however. The ideal distance for your bulb to be from the top of your plants is 1.5 - 2ft. never spray them during flowering only during vegative period, just so you know , when your hps is on , the cfl's are doing next to nothing but adding unwanted heat, to me your plants are looking healthy and strong and about right for a 7day into flowering , keep it up :-)

the two blueberry plants have been topped twice there are 4 tops and most of the colas have been supercropped in the picture the colas are tied down in an attempt to lst which i had never done before and actually took off today, i think the fan is the real issue because the middle stem is approximately 1 inch thick on both blueberrys when i grew my great white shark northern lights they seemed to respond better to the topping on these plants the tops remained small and spindly. i tried to fim the ice cream but it almost just made it take longer to grow out and didnt really add any extra tops. the ventilation has been becoming a big issue ive been trying to decide how to best do it for the past few days what kind of fan are you guys running on your plants.

My op is in my works place loft lol , so fresh air is no problem , i run 2x ruck fans , 1x intake(fresh air from outside) , 1x hot air out into a carbon filter , it can be tough in loft enviroments because the ventilation can send temps way up, i spent about £150 on the 2 fans including ducting etc and never looked back ....

i just started adding molasses and epsom salts to my watering to try and make sure my plants are getting the right nutrients i read that its good for them to have those two added during flowering is there anything else i should be adding?

so today was a bad day for my ladies myt gf forgot to turn on the light when she left the house so they missed out on 7 hours of light and when i got home my fan short circuited so no fan any more, but none the less heres a few photos they seem to be growing pretty well the colas are much stronger. im ordering a dwc from stealth hydro on friday so that should really help for my next grow.

for next time you grow BB, dont top it once let alone twice...it really fucks the yield up, its better just grown untopped...i learned this the hard way, so ill pass my 411 onto you the easy way lol....also be easy on yur nute schedule...its a picky eater and does better with less food...good luck

thanks man i appreciate the info did you super crop or lst your bb plants.
nah, ive tried LST , topping and both with them but they hated it and showed in the yield...i find the best way to grow em is naturaly. they just grow one big terminal cola and some small sides. most strains that grow terminal colas are best left untopped
