Blueberry Bush/ Purple Flowers?

I am looking to get purple/blue buds growing on my plant. I have one female blueberry bush that is around 70 days old and 40 of which has been in flower. The buds are developing rather slowly but nicely. I want to get some purple buds and I would like some input on how to do this. I have read that if i keep my temperatures lower during the night then this can stress the plant into flowering purple flowers. Ive seen purple dye that i can pour into the water that is designed to make purple flowers but the guy selling it was skeptic on if it actually worked. Someone out there has to have some experience in this.

also,

I would like an estimate on how long until i can chop her down. I realize that i should look at the trichs and wait till they are 50/50 cloudy/brown. I do not have a magnifying glass yet but will shortly. Also how can i get bigger buds. Is there any magic juice i can give her?
:leaf:
I need to know 3 things:
1. how long till i can harvest
2. how to get better bud production
3. how to get purple flowers

60 degrees during the night did it for me. 30-40 days into flowering. the ambient winter air made my set up 60 degrees at night. Mayby lower moisture too? I know i had both 30 % moisture and 60 degrees. now this is not purple nurple. This is to make purple leaves. the actual BUD did not turn purple at all.

Ive just now touched the tip of the iceberg with a lot of focusing on just what needs to be down at this moment. Its easier to just research what needs to be done to your plant now vs. what needs done to your plant months from now. This is just my way that i research. None of you half to take my method but I will recommend it. Allot of research goes along waise as long as you know how to use it wisley.

Thanks for all of your help guys... keep the information comeing while i start + reping everyone that helps

Purple leafs are a step closer to purple bud. Its averaging 75F temp/ 45% humidity during the day. In the mornings it will get hot and humid in there before im able to get up and open the door. But during the night I think it dips down a little cooler.

you need to drop it to 60-65 average everynight. the plants near my intake, (6 inch ductin 150 cfm? of cold air commin in from my window), were the only ones to turn purple. The ladies far away from the intake were how they were suppose to look.

Im growing this strain of blueberry bud... http://www.marijuana-seeds.nl/blueberry_marijuana_seeds.html

Im hoping for it to turn out as good as the shit in ludacris film haha .. thats where my inspiration came from to decide to grow the blueberry bud

Im using foxfarm hydroponic nutes.. Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, & Grow Big plus im using some new stuff called awesome bloosoms..

check out my grow journal below bro

I would concur... about 4 weeks away. what kinda nutes you using and what strain is it?

You have a long way till harvest!

The reason plants turn purple during cold weather is because of nutrient lockout.

You can accomplish the same thing by flushing your plants for the last two weeks before harvest.

If your plants have purple genetics they will change colors during the flush. Blueberry has more of a blue/grey kind of color on the bottom of the leaves.

The buds end up white with frost. Check out the photos of my Blueberry plants and you can see what they should look like at harvest time.

I believe it is more due to the strain than what you try to due to them. I did read something about trying to dye them, going through the roots did not work because the plant would not take it up. But if you cut a branch and put it in colored water it would since it does not get filtered through the roots. Just like when they do it with flowers. Buy they also had a warning because now you are also smoking what is in the dye. That I would not try. I have had two plants turn purple on me but was nothing that I did on purpose. Once with an outside grow, 1 out of the 6 I had had purple buds. And one that I am waiting to finish now. One is and one is not under the same conditions. Night temps have been as low as 57 in my closet. Here's a couple pics of my outdoor one. That pic is the top of the plant.

I would have to agree with you greenearth. Someone who is new to growing should try to stick to the info that has to do with the stage of growing that they are in. Maybe in your spare time look ahead at what is coming up next. There is so much information out there and trying to filter out the bullshit and myths about growing.
