Blue Mystic, House & Garden, 600 Watt sealed room grow

Day 30 of flower.. still maintaining 800 PPM. Will be adding Top Booster next rez change. I also believe I have figured out part of my problem. The two plants in the back seem to be the worst off. The roots inside my box are extremely thick and I think the back two plants are not draining as well as the front two. I will correct this with my next grow.

Today I'm changing my rez. I'm also adding Top Booster. Ending PPM was 850.

55ml Cal-Mag
55ml A&B
3ml Bud XL
4ml Top Booster
5ml Drip Clean.

this plant gets rootbound sooooo damn fast, what appears to be nute issues will be masqueraded as actually root issues, i uprooted my plants from the pots a few times and noticed blue mystic got rootbound quick, never left the plant dry as it always wanted to be watered, adding a bit of soil underneath the plant seemed to help the roots and bring more green back to my plants in flower, but it redirected the growth from the buds to the roots, so after roots kick in the buds explode but i would recommend that if you clone any, you keep it in a big pot(15l or more) in order to negate the way this plant behaves.

Right now I'm not planning on doing a perpetual grow. Due to limited space, I'm just growing from seeds right now. One thing is for sure, I has some insane roots. Can a low pressure system get root bound? I know my roots are starting to pile up inside my tray.

My trichomes were just starting to turn cloudy so I went ahead and harvested tonight. I wanted 50/50 clear/cloudy because I wanted a very heady uplifting high. Something good to smoke and spend the day outside or working on a creative project.

I learned a lot this grow. I ended up throwing away about 25% of the bud because it didn't get enough light and came out looking very light green. I figured it would smoke like crap.

The Blue Mystic has a very lemony/citrus smell to it. It's not actually very bad. It was extremely sticky. I'll get some picks up soon.

Just taking a wild guess, I figure I have about 3/4 - 1 lbs of smoke.

nice.. does it have much color to it? i was looking for like a really blue blueberry... i smoke some blue dream that was amazing and so blue and purple and dense it was incredible.

Nice man, read the whole thing. Too bad the RIU glitch lost the last month of your journal. Things I wanted to tell you from the first week were related to over-nuting. It seems all nute company's schedule's are way too hot. Best thing to do is read your plants, the whole time they were screaming burn. I know it seems common wisdom that they will grow faster with more juice, but ironically I've found they grow better with just enough nutes, as the stress slows growth when they are struggling with overload, even before visible symptoms occur, you can be sure that growth is retarted. Adding boosters and crap just complicates things further- best thing is to use a nutrient that has everything in it. H&G is a good one, you may want to try Dyna-gro sometime as all you need is the single part grow, single part bloom, some Protekt (silica) and mag-pro for absolutely amazing results. Another thing is you can slowly fade off the grow formula and substitute with bloom as the plants give you the signs of what they need. I'd recommend reading threads here by Homebrewer for some real good info on nutes in hydro, and specifically Dyna-gro. At the moment he is doing a head to head against H&G (on another site unfortunately) but I think the end result will be the Dyna is still slightly better, although H&G is proving to be a formidable opponent. All in all it was a great first grow and I am sure you were quite happy with the end results and obviously learned alot.
