We like information and more choices are always good
If I got another soil pH pen I'd get the Apera. I've known people with both and most prefer the Apera. You can change the probes too. At least on the soil one I'm talking about.

The probe is replaceable, so that's cool. It came in a cool little briefcase looking box which held plenty of calibration solution (3 point calibration) and little fitted cups that hold the pen upright. I always had to lean the Bluelab pen again something while calibrating. The probe soaks in a sealed cup of storage solution, so you don't have to worry about putting drops into the cap like the Bluelabs.
