Blue Hash (Blueberry X California Hash Plant) feminized

Got this single, feminized seed for free from Attitude seed bank (along with some other cool freebies) when we placed an order earlier this year. Figured I'd start a thread and show my progression on this strain. These pics are, as you can see, of when the plant is well established into the vegetative cycle. Its in a 3 gallon pot of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, and foliar fed once - twice a week with Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow. Using Cal/Mag+, Liquid Karma, and Super Thrive in the water that goes into the soil (ph'd to about 6.3). Lighting the veg closet is the 4 ft., 8 bulb T5 h.o. Hydro Farm fixture (with 6500k color temp. bulbs I believe). Plant looks great, nice big fat indica leaves (as u can see in comparison to my hand in the one pic. Took a bunch of clones a couple weeks after these photos were taken. Made sure they rooted b4 the mother was flowered. Nicest manicure job done to any of our plants yet :blsmoke:. It was topped twice and every single branch is about an even height with one another, with all branches receiving light fairly equally in intensity as well. This way of clipping should lead to about 12 nice dense little colas that get plenty of light, and no little crappy bottom branches with tiny buds on them ( finally learned our lesson on leaving those crappy bottom branches on the plant that barely get light hehe .) After the clones were finished rooting and the plant trimmed and settled, it was time to put it into the flowering closet. Went into flowering on 10-3-11.

Here is the Blue Hash plant 12 days into the 12/12 light cycle. Still using Cal/Mag+, Liquid Karma, and Super Thrive as regular ferts. Transitioning slowly over from Botanicare's grow formula to their bloom formula over the course of about 3 waterings. Buds are definitely showing now and the plant isn't stretching outrageously (which is a good thing ). Still gonna foliar feed a couple more times ( this time with the bloom formula) cuz the plant really seems to enjoy it. Also, we use a product called Mother of All Blooms (M.o.A.B.). When the first pistils start setting in, we use this, as instructed, in one of our scheduled waterings. Idk if its a gimmick or not but it really does seem to make the buds explode with pistils within about a week after using it and you only need to use it once in the beginning and once towards the end. Clearex is another product that we have found to be useful. We were having salt build-up issues with previous grows and this seems to be really helping to break down all the salts and keep the soil from having too much of a single nutrient. The Clearex is used about once every couple weeks. Flowering is done under a 400watt Hortilux super blue hps bulb and hydro farm self ballasted fixture

This plant is looking great so far. It handles nutrients very well and seems to love everything that has been done to it. Tapering down the Cal/Mag+ since the plant has already stopped stretching (stopped at 31.5 inches), and I'm using Botanicare Bloom, Liquid Karma, and Super Thrive. I've also started using Hydroplex since the plant is well into flowering at this point, and the buds are coming on very strong. Looks like there will be 9 dense, relatively similarly sized colas at the end of the grow (I'm curious as to what kind of a time frame the plant will finish in since this is the first grow for me of this strain). Everything is moving along smoothly at this point, will update in another couple weeks.

mine took a total of 71days to finish in the end (in soil) even though the breeders website said 55 lol

Here's a Blue California Hash Plant Feminized from a single free seed. Not a hermie for sure with this one. It was done by the middle of September.

The best thing about this hybrid is that ALL the branches take off when put into flower. Usually just 2 or 4 branches take off but this plant makes every branch a cola if you top it right.

The plant flowers very much like a hash plant for the first 6 weeks. With really dense rock hard nugs. Then the blueberry takes off and the pistols explode from everywhere swelling the buds to triple their size. It's like the hash plant part is done in 6 weeks and the blueberry takes another 3 weeks to finish.

Make sure this plant is fully finished to get the full benefit of the blueberry. But if you go too long it may herm. Watch closely.

Just a little update. Its already got the smell, just like fresh picked blueberries. Everything is looking great and fattening up nicely. It looks to be a fairly fast flowering plant, can't wait to check out the next couple weeks and see how this turns out.

I grew one out my last grow. For whatever reasons, it was 45 days in the jar before it seemed to peak to me. The flavors really burst out and the buzz turned from making me sleepy to relaxing and peaceful.

I totally agree with you about topping the blue hash. The plant pictured was topped twice and it ended up putting out 9 colas of almost identically equal size. Man the smell of blueberries is amazing. The L.S.D thats growing in the closet with the BH is overtaking any other smell at this point because its just so pungent and its also about to get picked (will not be growing the LSD strain again, 3.5 months of flowering time when the website said 2 months? gimme a break). Didn't notice the blueberry smell until it was takin out to get watered the other day. Here is the L.S.D grow so far if anyone would like to check it out. https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/475371-barneys-farm-lsd.html

I don't think you will be disappointed at all with this strain. I spent a good amount of money to get Barney's Farm seeds (L.S.D and Vanilla Kush), and so far, the flowering times are way too long. Don't get me wrong, the L.S.D is about the most dank smelling strain I've come across so far, but its flowering time is at least 14 weeks maybe more. The one freebie Dinafem Blue Hash seed that was received with the order makes spending all that money on those expensive Barney's Farm seeds well worth it. Blue Hash clones VERY well and the flowering time seems to be fairly short, what more could you ask for in some sinsemilla hehe? I'm happy for you that you picked such a good strain, definitely will be a keeper for me. Just make sure you top this plant at least once and (if your lighting is overhead) make sure you remove most of the bottom branches that arent going to receive light so it can put all its energy in those dense top colas.

Here she is again, just a few update pics. Looking and smelling great as usual. Can't wait to see the finished results. Made 3 more clones from the mother to get some more of them flowering here shortly.

Check out my L.S.D grow in the mean time. It turned out very well, just gotta make a new post with the harvest pics on them. Should be on there by tomorrow sometime.
