blue dream nanners?

Blue dream is on day 60 today. Yesterday as I checked on my plants I noticed some nanners.
2015-02-19 18.44.34.jpg

Only saw probably about 4 or so so far. I had a power outage awhile back and I think that may be the reason for these. Messed up the light schedule and stressed out the plant. However the plant only has about a week or two left by the looks of it.

Usually when I see nanners I toss the plant. But here's the situation. I have a holy grail kush in the same room as it on day 68. Would like the hgk to go another week or should I just chop down the hgk now and leave the blue dream by itself? Or would I be safe to leave both in there or maybe take the blue dream out? Help me out of this pickle. Thank you2015-02-19 18.43.31.jpg

pluck them off before they open
Reading a bit about this some people said to pluck them and others say to leave them. On one side if I pluck they won't open. But if I pluck them I've heard they can get worse and come back worse as a last chance to reproduce. Have you had experiences with plucking them? Just want to make sure I don't mess it up. Thanks for replying

I didn't know you posted it already but manners are fine with me as long as you mean day 60 of flowering. with the temps the way they are I'm having to run he during the day like right now. as you know it's stress related but also can be genetically related. Mexican bagseed crossed a million ways can develop nanners. I grew a blue dream last year and had the toughest time with it. lots of nanners did not like cold very prone to tobacco worms in sc, here is a pic of my Blue Dream cured

Thanks for the good info!

I have a blue dream on week 5 showing nanners. I recently put it under a 2000w hood. So it seems this is a heat stress thing, it never did this under 1000w or outdoors. 3 other strains under the 2000w, not showing stress at all

Very unfortunate to hear! It must be the genetics. I had A blue dream haze and blueberry before that have each produced nanners after stress. Where did you get your blue dream? Mines Humboldt seeds organization.
Best of luck with your grow

Hey thanks. The picture on my avatar is of a nl nirvana auto that i let go forever, i harvested one bc the tricks were milky but they got clear again and started foxtailing. Doubled yield btw. Everyone has theries on foxtailing (similarvto nanners) but my buds were so dence that when i would break one a bit to smell or look at trichs it would give bud room to spin out or foxtail. I also noticed a few nanners whete i physically manupilated oe environment was bad. But like i said certain strains are more succeptable. Newer hybrids i believe have less chance

Ok what is a nanner im growinh blue dream what should i watch for i opened a thread newby growing blue dream i put pics there

I have often heard Blue Dream is a bitch to grow, and likes to throw nanners. No first hand experience, but I hear it a lot.

Nanners are better than seeds. Im not growing a field so i can easily remedy the nanner. Hell let it go. Once you get nanners your too into flowering for pollination and seed production IMOHOpininion. I like to open up harder buds and and get them to foxtail. I have learned harvesting early happens WAY to much. naturally new growths trichs will be "newer" i have waited the extra month and seen budsvi swore were awsome turn to absolut chucky filled iced over blobs

A "nanner" (as pictured above) actually called a stamen. It's the inside of a male pollen sack that carries the pollen, just doesn't have the "sack" around it. When these open up they burst and spread pollen across your garden and cause your plants to produce seeds rather than buds which is a problem for ever grower who goal is to grow sensimilla or seedless bud. There called manners because they look like bananas that grow from the middle of a female bud. And plants that have both male and female sex organs are called hermies. Hope this helps
