Blue Cheese SoG

Here's my Blue Cheese sog, I am using 4L pots which are being hand feed at the moment, soon they will be on 2LPH drippers.

Set up:

2 x 600w lights (basic reflectors for now)
48 x 4L pots on trays
120L rez
2 x Run off rez's
48 drippers using 25mm feedline
SMC twin fan controller taking care of temps
Oscillating fan
1 x 680m3/hr fan out
1 x 420m3/hr fan intake

Food & additives:

Canna Coco A+B
Rhizotonic
Cannazyme
Gnat off
Silicone
Canna Boost
PK13/14
Molasses

The first pic is of average root growth on just over half of these plants (most of them are in pic2)

Second is what the best rooted plants looked like 2 days ago after being xplanted into pre soaked 4L pots (pre soak nute mix- 2ml coco A+B, 4ml Rhizotonic & 4ml Silicone per 1L).

These pots were soaked until slight run off (10-15%) was achieved to satisfy the coco's CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) as it sucks some of the nutes out of the feed water which denies the plant those nutes... if you pre flush plain coco you will see that your run off is less than the EC than the feed water you have soaked with. It holds them back and the plant can access them if they require... so I read :dunce: lol...

3rd pic is the 24 already in 4L pots as of today.

4th pic is of the sisters to the ones in 4L pots, they all be going into bloom on Mon along with the 4L's, but as the roots were slightly less developed I gave them a chance to fill out some more before being xplanted. Hopefully they'll have exploded out by then??

When I sort out the dripper set up they will be feed DTW (drain to waste) no recirculating here :D

Feel free to add comments, criticism, suggestions whatever man... mi casa su casa... well on it is here anyway :fire:

Cheers lads...

Cappeeler, silicone is an additive (basically potassium silicate) it strengthens the cell walls so the plants are more resistant to bug attack (gawd forbid!), drought & heat stress... It also helps make the stems thicker. Makes the pH go up so many also use it instead of pH up.

Molasses is just like black treacle but more bitter :D basically my mate has used it on his last few grows and it has improved the taste, stickiness of bud (amount of thc), and it also seems to quicken them the time it takes for his buds to cure.... or maybe he is just flushing for longer :D It also feeds any good bacteria you have in the coco (namely Trichoderma as Canna adds this to their coco to combat root diseases), in turn they help your plant to feed so it's pretty good shit man...

The plants were cuttings bro, first time I am trying the Blue Cheese.

Cheers ganster grower, nothing like your show, but I try my best :P Thanks for coming over mate. Hopefully will have the beginnings of some nice cola's in the next few weeks.

Cheers cheech & bong! Had a load before that were bloody crap and it hurt but I had to scrap most of them.

I am trying some new pots out this run, some shit called grobags... They are made out of the same thing as black & white poly we use on the walls for refelction a lil thicker maybe... Anyway they are fookin cheap and that what counts and I have seen a few people use them to good effect. So I have stuck them in there too see what they turn out like....

Have been reading a few threads on SOG were people are using way more plants (3-4 plant per sq/ft) and getting very good yields, 1.2gpw+. So I am going to use a few more of the clones I was going to bin, and up the amount to 60 under the 2 x 600w, this way they should all do some nice lollipop cola's and give me 1gpw :D Well u can only hope for the best, but expect the worst :D

Cappeeler09 yeah you can just mix it with the nutes, I am just getting confirmation it will not clog up my drippers and will add it in next feed.

DWR good of you to pass by mate.

Well here's those grobags I was talking about.... they are dirt cheap (25 x 4L = £5) and seem to be doing the business so far.... as you can see there are 21 of them on this tray here.... But a few more can be squeezed in as the clone are pretty short they are the not so great ones I managed to salvage.

They are on the same feed as before but have dropped rhizotonic to 2ml per L now, will soon drop it again to 0.5ml per L for 6 weeks of bloom.

Anyway few pics...

A lil update on these girls.... I now have 60 under the 2 x 600's a few of them had top be transplanted 3 days into bloom as the roots were slow to hit bottom of small pots (remember some of these clones were salvaged :D)

So they are all looking ok right now, and are on day day 4 bloom.

Feed is 2ml per L Coco A+B
0.5ml per L Rhizotonic
1.5ml per L Molasses
1.25ml per L Cannazyme
1ml per 100L!!! gnat poison from Canadian express this shit goes a long way man! 1ml Per 100L!!!

Oh yeah... note to self, must hang heater :D space is a premium with all 60 in there!

I also need a few bits - couple larger trays, and a few bits for the plumbing and should be cooking on gas!
