Some strains will naturally change color as they ripen. Cold temps will make it more dramatic. Purple max from humbolt helps as well.

Yup, it's kind of a luck of the draw sorta thingl. But yes, cold water (roots) and temps help bring out those colors. But don't FORCE it, remember the acceptable temps for growing. ;-)

iv never seen a strain turn blue, or have even have blue hues.

normally the "blue" trait refers to a smell profile certain genetics express, thats have the "blue berry/blue bubblegum" smell. i just got some blue berry haze at the best dispensary in the world yesterday and its completely yellow/greenish/gold coloring but the buds smell amazing :)

yup thats photoshopped man. when your flushing put ice cubes on the medium. that turns plants with colour in them pretty easy and quick. i've never done dwc so not sure how you could do that but i guess ice in the res would do the same, just be careful the extra water doesn't flood out.

I've had strains turn red, blue, purple, gold, green, and white. All with steady temps, and organic nutes/soil.

It totally depends on the strain.. not the ice cubes or any other tricks.

I'm not saying temps won't. Just saying special genetics don't need to be tricked.

My headband Kush will turn totally purple when night temps get down in the 50's. It stays almost totally green with stable temps. Querkle on the other hand will turn nice shades of reds and purples with steady temps in the 80's day and night. It's the genetics.
