In the old threads about the sunsystem blockbuster 6" hood they all say it leaks. Update: The new hoods do not leak they work great and its the perfect size 26x26in square. It was also cheaper than others on the market. I'm very happy with mine it was made this year. 2013:leaf:

    I had a blockbuster 6" 2 years ago.

It had the rubber seal and thumb screws.

I never noticed any smell leakage whatsoever.

I ran mine in a sealed air cooled system.

I have 4 of the 8" that I bought last month and they don't seem to "leak"

I have 14 6" BB. The newer design with the safety cable and better seals.

The are awesome hoods with an awesome light pattern. A smoke test on mine however confirmed..they still leak a little.

To stop my co2 generator from constantly running I eventually just tape the seams with blue painters tape when I install the HPS bulbs.

I have been looking everywhere to find some webshop in EU for ordering the blockbuster to Sweden, but didnt manage to find any, and from the USA it would be very expensive shipping more than the price of the product.

Can someone help me if you know of any EU shop selling them?

Thats why myself and most fan/filter makers recommend pushing the air through the hood rather than pulling it through. Any air that leaks will be recycled through the filter greatly reducing any chance of odor leakage. Or in you case CO2 loss...
And I just love the Blockbuster hood!

Well, kind of sort of. No filter manufactures will recommend blowing air into them. Well, no good filter companies will. You circumvent the pre filter that way, blowing dirt into your carbon and reducing the life of your filter.

I suppose I could try blowing through. Would only take a couple minutes to switch the fans around. However, I think it's going to be the same result. At least on paper. Air is currently getting sucked into my room, when I zip the panda closed it wants to pull of the wall. My thought is that the air coming into the room is allowing the air (and co2) to get sucked out.

If I reversed the fans, I would think the opposite would hold true..the co2 would get pushed out, not pulled out. Honesty I live AC hoods but they are a huge PIA for bigger grows. Just bought 18 ballasts for a bare bulb room. Hang ballasts, hang cord and bulb; done!

I have owned this reflector and personally had no issues with it. Would definitely use them again.

Filter first, then the fan blowing though your hoods.

This and the above is where the recycling part comes in.

Depends on what your using for a lung room I guess...
