happy Saturday! we did a little walk today at an old golf course. pretty nice as we had the whole place to ourselves.

just started a batch of roasted beef bone broth, hoping this batch is like jello when it's finished.

and i decided that i can make my own hoagie rolls after the sticker shock last week from the $35 jersey mikes sub. these were super easy, they're very soft and pretty tasty. i made enough extra to stock the freezer for the next couple of months.

now it's time for bongsmilie

My first shipwreck dive at 150 ft.

On my first ship wreck dive in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. my dive buddy swam around
the bow out of my sight. Moments later when I caught up with him, he was wide-eyed
and pointing repeatedly to a porthole in the wreck.

I swam up and looked in. I saw nothing but black. I looked back at him and he was still motioning to the porthole. So I stuck my light in to see better. What I saw was still black
but then I could see that it was a fish eye. That eye was near the size of a paper plate.

When we surfaced, I asked him what it was. He said it looked to him like a jewfish.

I take his word for it. I could not see more than that eyeball.:shock:

That 30 feet deeper than my deepest dive back in the day lol

My dive partner on that dive was a dive instructor as well.

After that dive, he asked if I wanted to go shark diving with him.
I declined. I just did not feel comfortable chumming the water with bait while I'm in the middle of it.:shock:

Close encounters with large animals are intense.
