blackstrap molasses

i fed my plant with this a few days ago, and left the water and molasses mixture sitting somewhere, and today and watered again with the same container and water and when i was done i realized the water smelled extremely bad and sour. the plant looks fine, but will it be safe to smoke in a couple weeks at harvest, isn't there harmful bacteria in it or some shit

It went anaerobic: no oxygen. Anaerobic microbes tend to be less beneficial or even dangerous to plants, the by-products they produce often toxic. With no oxygen present anaerobic bacteria are likely to begin metabolizing the glucose, which will often result in alcohol (ethanol) and carbon dioxide. We shouldn't let our plants get drunk.

There isn't any need to be concerned about bad microbes or plant damage from one application of spoiled mixture.

Nullis is correct and if you see any damage start to show up you can add a1/4 cup of peroxide to your water. The extra oxygen will help to kill off some of the anaerobic bacteria, not off of it but some. In the future if you want to let a solution like this sit put an air pump in the solution to keep oxygen in the water and prevent it from going bad. In fact aerating the water before watering can be good for the soil overall.
Good Luck

Hey Nullis been awhile since I have seen you around, keep up the good advice
