Blackjack from Nirvana

I know bro, this girls a goddamn beast! lol. Shes already showing pistils and its only like 3 days since flip so im hoping she dont stretch much but well see.

Its been a week since i flipped to 12/12 and shes been doing a fair amount of stretching so far. I think your right SS, shes def gonna push the limits of my grow space. Shes really massive already its just a 2'x2' square bush! I started her on koolbloom yesterday and she perked rite up when she got a taste. i probably wont flush at all this grow, just as a little test to see if it helps or not. I havent flushed yet and i think shes looking alot better then my last hempy but who knows this could just be a bomb waiting to go off lol. Also i bumped the light up to 300w (gotta love those dim ballast) so i can penetrate that thick canopy. Enough with the talk heres some pics of my baby...

week 2 update: Things are looking good over here, starting to see some nice crowning going on and it looks like the stretch is over (thank god!). Ive been giving her 8ml of Flora micro (hardwater), 16ml of Flora bloom, 5ml of Calmag, and 5ml of koolbloom per gallon every feed now and she likes to eat every 3 days. Usually 2 gallons will do the trick for me. I probably say this every grow but this is def my biggest plant yet and knowing how big and dense these BJ buds get i think its gonna be an exciting ride these upcoming weeks .

On another note, im planning on starting my next plant in about 2-3 weeks. Im thinking some Blue Thai will be nice for a Christmas harvest this year.

Some more pics at day 21. Her buds are starting to put on some weight now that the stretch is over and im staring to see some frost already which is pretty early for me. Im excited to know what things might look like 5 week down the road though. I know its gonna get heavy in there i just hope she dont get too stinky lol. I can hardly see the screen anymore, i think the BJ ate that too lol. Just a monster this girl is.

Man she is starting to stack up really nice. Just a dense ass bush man, love her bud structure. Can't wait to watch her pack on the weight.

day 28 flowering:

Things are starting to heat up around here and its HOT! Just about 100 today thats all.
Im starting to see some yellowing in the plant so i increased the cal/mag to 10ml per gallon. Besides that everything is going smooth, the buds are really starting to look like some heavy weight contenders. DAY 34 FLOWERING:

I'm willing to bet that the heat is causing your yellowing. I don't like to go above 5mL cal/mag per gallon, as it tends to really raise your PPM's. I usually max out at 3mL and start to gradually lower from there thru flower. Do you have a fan blowing across the top of the canopy?

They are looking great for 34 days, super fat and frosty man!

I know what you mean, i dont really want to add the extra cal/mag theres just something in my gut telling me not to but i dont know what else to do.

I got 3 fans blowing in there, 1 in the middle of the canopy, 1 at the top of the canopy and another on the floor blowing up. Im hoping your right about the heat stone seeing that its getting cooler out around here maybe i can get the green color back.

Her smell is a bit overpowering, i find myself buying more of those fabreeze automatic sprayers now a days then ever before lol.

Ialready got my next girl going, Blue Thai from dinafem seeds im just too lazy to get some pics up maybe later. Im gonna try a 3gallon bucket this time instead of the 5. I figure if i can get my plants to the same size as this BJ but with a little smaller pot id have the perfect amount of space with no worries of outgrowing it. Also, i plan on redoing the screen, the Bj totally snapped this one into pieces lol.

Man she looks great! Even more impressive being at 50% power, she is still fat as hell. I don't think you will have any issues going to 3gal buckets. 2-3 gal buckets are about the perfect size, I am going to upgrade to 2gal for my next grow.

Loving the Blackjack SS, how long you letting her go? Props bro!

Thanks for the kind words Stone! Im gonna let her go at least 2 more weeks, i was gonna let her go til the end of the month but im not so sure. Ill let the trichs tell me when shes ready.

Stevie, thanks for dropping by my journal and the compliment too. Just went through your journal and I'm genuinely impressed. Still going through Stoneslackers...you and him do a mighty fine job with the SCROG technique and hempy buckets. Outside of "hempy fever" and my big-time colas, I'm getting the yearning for some SCROG'ing myself...you know what I mean? I've never done much more than FIM'ing to bush things out but I'm positive now I can push my yields higher with your teachings. I imagine I won't get those huge cola's anymore since the energy is diverted more throughout the other branches but somewhere there is a threshold of bud-mass per plant that you break continually. Thanks for a good read....I've been meaning to ask you both about the BJ source and really Nirvana does have some nice lineage here and there. This one looks like a winner. Jela10, And thank you for those compliments, it means alot coming from someone i feel is a great grower. IMO scroging is the best way to grow if quantity is what your looking for. That Bubblelicious sounds tasty man, im actually smoking some Bubblelicious X Bluedream now...Good stuff to say the least.

This BJ has been a delight to grow, this was my 5th seed from my fem 5 pack. They all sprouted and grew into big beautiful ladies with this current one being my biggest. Im pretty impressed with Nirvanas seeds but they are just a bit too pricey so now i do all my shopping on Attitude...and they give freebees.

Day 55 Flowering: The smell coming off this girl is just insane, almost like pure lemon with a kick of dankness to it. Shes packing on some good weight these past couple weeks im thinking maybe next weekend or the week after and its chop time.
