Black Pistil Tips

Please check out the images and post if you have any info relevant to this symptom. Something that I could not get to show up in the pics (taken with a cheap micro-cam ) is that there are some very tiny, white to translucent, round to oval, critters moving about in between the pistil hairs. I am wondering if they are the cause of the pistil tip die back or if they are a secondary condition.

Plants are in the 3rd week of flower, grown in soil under 600W lights indoors.

Have used spinosad foliar app and soil surface spray 2x about 10 days apart and also have added green light neem to watering solution about every other watering.

Looking forward to your feedback :)Image80.jpgImage78.jpgImage81.jpgImage77.jpgImage79.jpg

If you see something crawling on your buds and through the pistels then i would say this is your problem. However i have also seen spray applications cause a similar thing, usually pistel colour change not die off. If you have already seen something that needs dealing with then i would deal with it.

Spinosad is a good but unfortunately doesnt kill everything and as such may not kill what you have. Give the SPINOSAD some time to act. 3 applications 3 days apart each application to disrupt life cycle and then PREY!

Have you been able to identify what they are thats crawling around your buds?

tyty for your response Mr. Ganja ;)

Was trying to follow the mfg recommendation on the spinosad so did not do 3x @ days apart . . . since the 2x @ 10DA did not work I maybe should have been more aggressive idk . . . going to follow up with some azamax and see if that works. . . staying strictly organic here :)

The microscope that I have does not magnify sufficiently to allow for id of the critters. Was posting here in the hope that someone else would have seen this symptom and be able to provide additional input. With only this single example it is hard to know if the blackened tips are caused by the critters or by the spinosad application, with critters being 2ndary prob.

wish me luck lol

What are you getting those pictures with? Those are some fine quality pics bro lol.
thx lol but iz np to get pics like that they were taken with a Celestron 44302 Handheld Digital Microscope. It has a USB cord and a built in camera so just push the button on the top and waalaa it takes a pic and puts it on your computer :hump:
