Black Couple denied marriage at white church

probably a handful of blue haired 80+ year olds objected to it, that is the only explanation based on the video. Old people are still racist, black or white..If the church was all 20-35 year olds no way it would happen.

Anyone who thinks this is the media stirring crap up has never lived in the south. There is no shortage of people who think like this, and most of them tend to congregate with other like-thinking religious whackjobs at a church.

Religious wackjobs attempt to get married at wackjob church. You reap what you sow. I got married by Elvis. My poodle at the time was the witness. I'm a fuckin' hippy, Elvis didn't care and rode off later in his Mini.

It's a southern baptist church
At least the mormons stopped the overt racism in the 70s
It's too bad, since more would quit another cult. All religions are cults. They're all as outdated as racism. If more of this happened, maybe people would wisen up. Irreligion is the only good part of the EU.

But according to a lot of members on this board, racism is dead. Quit your bitching it was a misunderstanding.

While i don't agree with the refusal to marry, i maintain that it is their right to decide to perform the ceremony or not.

They weren't members of the church, they just went now and then. Many churches require you to be a member and to take classes prior to getting married.

I don't even like churches but they have their rights too.

If the worst racism you have to fear is a refusal from a church where you are not a parishioner, then yeah, racism is pretty much dead. I doubt Farrakhan would sprinkle holy water on me, but I don't feel deprived because of it.

Did you even watch the interview with the pastor?
